Default Anyone want to shoot on Monday?

Let's do the 1000yard again at the "spot." Anyone up for it?

Out in the high desert by Willow Springs. You'd have to be shown where to turn off. I posted a satellite picture link in one of the other threads here.

I just came off of two people packed days at APS (standing room only at the rifle range both days). Think I'm going to spend a quiet day on Monday with no gunfire.

i'll call you around 8am in the morning. let's try to go a little early, so we can leave the rest of the day open.

yep 500-1000yards. joe made some steel targets, so we got stuff to shoot at.

Sweet deal. Start early end early? We/ I can get back before the traffic gets insane. Joe got a chance to reload or should I bring a few extra rounds for him?

i had a good time shooting again. jason, joe, and i took shots at a 1/2 moa steel plate at 835yards with cross winds ranging from 5-15mph. we also shot 700yard groupings through a truck's hood, and a 550yard propane tank. another awesome day.

For the record.. the propane tank was already shot up and the car hood was already laying there

It was a good time. Only Peter hit that .5 MOA wide target at 800+ yards. Nice job! Can't wait till the next time.. I'll bring some refreshments and food!

Yup.. mostly hiked up with some steel and a sledge hammer. You'll see two pieces of steel hammered into the ground if you look carefully.

Starving for the day will cause you to overeat.. I know i did! I think it's time to start the flow of beer until it's time for champagne..

You'll get a chance to do a lot of that in about three weeks.

Uh uh - the Prec Rifle II class in three weeks - if it don't snow. One of the areas addressed will be setting a mid range zero (3, 4, or 500) and then addressing targets 100 - 800 without changing the zero.
