Actually, funny enough I just got my car back from repair (got hit on the 101). And of course after a week there, my Swiss army knife attached to the car keys wasn't returned.

I replaced it tonight by ordering a Spyderco Manbug.

sorry this happened to you. that's a shame and not right. a pristine condition 1980s Buck 110 folder was stolen from me at a swap meet last thursday.

I recently saw Spyderco Tenacious green versions on EBAY brand new in box from a place called ECOP... they had the serrated tenacious in Green listed for $44 and the plain blade listed for $19.10 buy it now shipped free.

I bought the plain blade and it was delivered today - for $19.10. I almost posted the link because they had a bunch of them, but I was afraid it was a rip-off or knock-off at that price. I didn't want the wrath of CALGUNS to fall on my head.

Anyway, pleasant surprise. I got a Tenacious for less than $20. Oh and there's a new-to-me EBAY BM 523 too (with an unused blade, minor carry wear).

Pics of my most recent knife purchases over the last few months. Yes that is a highly tactical full auto squirt gun above the knives.

Thanks Rage, 8 is the Survive Knives GSO 5.1, 9 is the Swamprat Ratmandu, and 10 is the Swamprat Infidu. They're awesome knives made of some hardcore steels. Pretty much designed to go through almost about anything.

Default Large Sebenza 21 Micarta Insingo

Just got this today. Birth certificate says April 30, 2015, so it's hot off the press.

I absolutely CAN NOT believe how smooth this thing is. We're talking Mo Better Butter smooth here!

I don't see this one leaving my pocket any time soon!!!

Those look handy. I looked for them after they were announced and couldn't find them. I see they are around now. How does it feel? I'd get it just for the new bottle opener.

the size and weight is awesome for a small utility knife and comes razor sharp. i haven't tested the bottle opener, but i'm sure it'll do the job. the scales on the other hand, feels like plastic and does not offer much traction at all and actually cheapens the feel of the knife. i would have easily paid a little more for better scales. but overall, its a great little knife and at around $20, you can't go wrong.

3 OZ is about right for that knife. Too bad it sounds like the scales are not G10. I have a Thermite and a Surefire Charlie getting G10 scales with patterns really similar to that. I'll post pics if they ever find their way back to me.

Glad you snagged one. I saw them and there was 16 left. All were sold within the hour. They went fast! Great snag on a awesome Tenacious.

Awesome! I really do love my Large 21. You really debate with yourself if its worth the money, but once you get it your hooked. Wait until you clean it a few times as well. It is so incredibly easy to take apart and put back together properly. Simplicity at its best. Enjoy it and welcome to the CRK club!

I hear you. I have a small 21 insingo plain that I just cleaned and did a little action enhancement to. It's smooth, but not this smooth. Actually I think I'll take the 21 apart again and try the Chris Reeves grease. I used 10 wt. Nano-oil on it because I heard it didn't collect as much gunk. It's not as smooth as when I got it though, so that has to be the reason why.

Seriously though, the 21 is erotic smooth. Just unreal. I'm surprised that the scales aren't more grippy. Maybe they break in a bit, but don't seem overly aggressive to me right now.

Just picked up a Zero Tolerance 0566 Hinderer. Love it! Small enough to be practical, drop-point blade, ELMAX steel and deep carry clip. I've carried Spyderco's, Benchmade's, Emerson's and the odd Kershaw for...ugh...26 years, and this knife is superb.

Another recent find. This Spyderco ATS-55 was in a jumbled box of various branded Chinese knives in a local antique/curio/gift shop. I paid $15.

I just picked up a ZT 551 in Elmax for $102 shipped. My first folder purchase in over 10 years because I'm wearing out my Benchmades. Seems like people like the ZT's. What are your guys thoughts on the 551 and did I get it at a good price?

The only thing I know about the 551's is that you got a great deal at that price depending on condition, and they are an earlier desirable model from 2010 that came before the 0560/61. They have bushings/copper washers like a lot of Benchmades do instead of the KVT bearings. G10 is really grippy.

Thanks, it looks like the knife has been barely used. I will know in the next few days after I get it. Figured it was worth a shot at that price.

Did you score it from a friend or auction? That is a nice knife. A lot of people like that size because it is closer to an XM18, rather than oversized 0560 with 3.75" blade. I haven't owned either, but I like my 0566 so far, and I like the bigger Thermite with Spanto. The 0566 would be better if it had a titanium framelock side with steel lock bar insert, but 5 ounces isn't horrible... my benchmades and ZT 0350 weigh more, but I had to put them on a scale. To me the 0566 feels a little heavy.

I have been looking at more Spyderco. I've been checking out the Manix2, K2, Ulize, and Zulu. They have a variety of cool designs.

I picked it up off of the Bladeforums. I've gotten more into fixed blades over the last year, but needed a new EDC. I've nearly worn out my two Benchmades that I've been carrying for the last 10-15 years. Thanks for the info and I've been looking at the folders. There's some nice ones out there.. Man, if it's not one addiction it's another

Hell yea. The Paramilitary II is a amazing knife. That's why I have one of each variant as well as a user camo/satin.
