I just turned 19 in July.

Got into firearms since I was interested at a young age. Tried paintball, airsoft, but nothing compares to the real thing.

ive already dropped over 500 bucks on my mossberg 500.

About to spend about 1200 on my .22 AR and probably going to pick up a 5.56 upper in two paychecks time.

I forgot part two of the question.
I got into guns on my own, well, a long with a few of my close friends. But none of our parents or family where/are 'gun people.'

I'm 21 and I came addicted to firearms when I turned 21. I knew why father kept firearms (self defense) and I found out why he spent so much money on them (they are so fun to shoot!). I inherited them and I have since gone on to buy two Wilsons and spend thousands on ammo and other accessories. This is by far my most expensive hobby to date.

Turned 19 in May, started out way way back when I was a little tike bugging my parents for books about guns and whatnot, I used to go to China every year and I would get a big picture book full of guns.

Then I got an air rifle in July 2007, a 22 rifle in December 2007, and then high powered bolts.

Nobody in my entire bloodline is interested in this stuff, just me

I am 21 and I got into guns when I was 19. As a kid my mom was very much against guns and wouldn't even let me play with toy guns. So of course I was interested in them. One of my buddies told me he bought a shotgun and that peaked my interested so I did some research and went out and bought a rifle.

22, almost 23...

been shooting as long as I've been walking... Had a forced falling out of the hobby when I was 15, because my brother commited suicide and my father became extremely anti gun and took away my 1911 .38 Super, Ruger 22, Winchester 30/30 and my SKS. Once I turned 18, I started over with a M1 Carbine and a Winchester 1300...

Haven't looked back and never will.

23, been shootin since I was 12. Every weekend with my dad when I was little, and I still go to that same range frequently. Safety is embedded into my brain. Passed my HSC test with none failed and didn't study at all.

Turn 20 in three more months. Been shooting for 3 years since I grew up in an anti-gun house but learned the basic principles of gun safety from my friend's dad who showed me the right and wrong of firearms.

24, I've been into shooting as long as I can remember, which is odd since my family was pretty anti.

I remember signing up for Calguns when I was 16. 18 now and fired countless rounds on a weekly basis.

20 years old, been into guns forever. Also came from an anti-gun household, took forever to convince my parents to let me buy a BB gun and 15 or so. Had an arsenal of airsoft guns and 18 bought my first rifle, got it before my driver's liscence.

Even though I had never shot a real gun, throughout high school I was pretty much known as the gun/airsoft guy.

Lol, same thing with me. For my senior project I even go to bring my GEW 88 to school for a presintation. Placer High was surprisingly cool about it, I just went in told them and they sent someone with me to go get it from the car and that was it.

Whats considered young? I'm 21

My first time shooting a gun was at a ROTC FTX in college. I liked shooting but never really thought about buying a gun. Got into firearms January this year because dedeye peer pressured me into getting a gun at the Ventura county gun show.

I'm 20. Got into shooting at 12. My grandparents raised me and are hardcore anti-gun democrats. My uncle (Old Recon Scout) and neighbor (Hunter) were my mentors. Brought my .270 home when I was 16. Learned how to clean every type of military firearm my uncle could get his hands on. A clean gun is a happy gun he would tell me. And then he would take his pinky and stick it in some unknown crevice in the AR I had just "cleaned" and come up with some gooey black stuff. GO CLEAN IT AGAIN!

Good Times...
