Default Remington 700 ADL - Action Screw Torque?

Manual for my new 700 ADL with cheap plastic stock does not list a torque specification for re-tightening the stock to action screws. Anyone know what the recommended spec is for the main front/rear screws and the smaller trigger guard screw? Also, is there a recommended tightening pattern, IE, rear then front, etc.?

Image below shows cheap stock for reference.

Email Remington for the specs. I had to do that to a company in order to get the specs for their scope mount.

Torque em to 65 in/lbs and just tighten the trigger guard screw so it doesn't fall out.
I don't think I have ever owned a rifle that the actions screws were torqued down to a specific number and I own the same gun as the one in your picture.
Whatever happened to tight?

AS a mechanic we would say tighten them until the break and back off 1/2 turn. Hope that helps

I have always just tightened them until tight. Never used a torque wrench on them or scope mounts/rings. Never had any problems. I just go by feel.

The countersunk screws should not be taken much over 35 or 40.
I would go 30 in front, then 30 in back, then 40 in front.

65 will sometimes split the cast aluminum triggergaurds due to the countersunk screw head.
I would only go to 65 on a gun with cap screws and pillars.
I don't go over 40 with countersunk screw heads.

3. Replace and tighten the trigger guard (stock) screws. For the Model 710 the user must adhere to the
following torque specifications: Front screw - 55 to 60 inch pounds, Middle screw - 40 to 45 inch pounds
and Rear screw - 15 to 20 inch pounds of torque.

This is from the owners manual on a 710. I will look for a 700.

Received a reply back from Remington as to the tightening spec for this particular rifle/stock combo. "The torque specs are 32 to 35 inch pounds. There is no specific pattern, tighten them equally a little each time until the specs are received."
