Arrow TheExpertish's Mosin GB Refund Thread (No Replies From Those Not Involved)

Since the original FS thread was locked I have decided to continue the updates in a new thread in a more appropriate forum. I don't believe it belongs in OT, and there would be too many trolls wanting to jump on board.

IF YOU ARE NOT INVOLVED DO NOT POST A REPLY

Look, but don't touch.

C) No more PM discussions, all matters of this should be public so that everyone involved knows what is going on.
If you're NOT involved see 'A'.

D) Expertish, I want to see a posted list of everyone, by screen name not real name, who sent money, has been paid back or received a rifle and who is still owed money and how much here in this thread.
I will expect this post in a prompt fashion.

These are the requirements for the continuation of this thread, this matter needs to be resolved and the hanger's on and 'I've just got to throw my 2 cents in' people are not helping that to happen.

Let's get this moving and dealt with.
This is per Kestryll's rules in the previous thread and shall be maintained here to keep things peaceful and non-cluttered. Please don't make things hard for the moderators.

Here is the current list.

This will work, and like Kestryll said "if you are not in this GB do not post"

I'm posting here so I can follow on my phone.

Jason,

The whole purpose of your GB was to allow you to cherry pick some nice Mosins from the larger group of rifles.

What happened to these rifles?

If you still have them, I'd like for you to honor your end of the deal and send me 2 of them.

Jel

Thanks for the link, does this mean that the 2nd run for mosins is not going to happen then? Is it strictly refunds from this point on?

At this point your best bet is to hope for a refund. I don't see any more guns forthcoming, and any indication of such would be seen as a delaying tactic to avoid the inevitable issuing of refunds.

Jason, in post 852 of the other thread (back on July 17th) you said that you thought you could be paying back one person every 2 weeks. It has now been 11 weeks and it appears that not single person has been paid back in cash.

1) What made you feel so confident that you could pay back 2 people per month back on 7/17?
2) What has changed such that not one person been paid back in cash yet?
3) Why has the rate of paying people back actually slowed down, especially if you have extra income coming from your wife? Certainly she has received her first paycheck by now.

Update?

Based on your outlined plan, as requested by the mods, the "Refunded List" should be growing and the "To Be Refunded List" should be shrinking.

Obviously refunds are not happening and updates are not being made on time.

So I assume the lack of a response means that no progress has been made?

Is Jason still living in San Diego? He never mentioned if his wife's new job was in California or not. It would not surprise me if he took off on us.

My perception, and other's perception from pms I've been getting, is that the mods here are very favorable towards Jason.

There has been a ton of deleted posts. Don't expect any honest opinion of a calguns vendor here.

Since it's apparent several posts have been deleted (after the original thread was locked to further posts), I think a moderator owes us an explanation. Why is Jason not being held to the fire for the commitments he promised? Why does it seem like there's a concerted effort to mute any criticism of Jason's behavior? We are all extremely tired of the lies and deception we've been fed and would really like to see some results here.

I've been on Calguns for years and this is the first group buy I jumped on. Sadly, it will probably be the last. I would rather have donated the money to a good cause than to have it mysteriously disappear like this.

There is nothing set in stone yet, but if anyone is willing to serve as a witness in court (obviously date and time permitting) please PM me. Also, for someone who is not involved monetarily but wants justice, if you would be willing to serve the defendant as a process server (anyone not involved can do this) please PM me.

For the record, I am willing to appear as a witness for anyone else involved.

Also, can someone PM what information they have on Jason? I have everything I would need, but I want to compare with someone else to make sure I have the correct information.

Anyone can always PM me for my information. I don't like it being handed around through back door deals when I have said several times that I am available to you guys to discuss whatever.

I am not a moderator, a vendor, nor have I been asking for posts to be deleted. The mods do what they see fit. I haven't likely even seen most of what was deleted.

I haven't been around here in a bit and I do apologize. I did see Cali-gula's offer and I have PM'ed him to discuss things. However, when I said that I have "heirlooms" it is a bit of a misnomer. Not trying to dumb down what I have, but my great-grandfathers old American Arms side-by-side isn't exactly worth a mint. Probably $150 at best. I am apprehensive about selling something I want back to someone I don't know, but I am looking into it.

Again, I am sorry that this GB went down in flames with me at the helm. I admit I am the captain of this fail boat. I am deeply sorry and I can't say it enough.

I can't reiterate enough that I am doing what I can to take care of this as soon as possible. However, I am not having a ton of luck with stuff I have been selling as of yet. Time to lower prices and maybe try eBay, though I hate eBay and PayPal both. I have a few more things I'll be posting for sale tomorrow. Friday is also payday and now that rent is taken care of a refund or two should be in order.

Thanks to everyone who has been patient so far. To those who are fed up; talk to me....yourself. No more having your friends or associates call or email me. With the exception of one helpful emailer, the rest have been polite but irritating. Handle your own business. I'm an approachable person and have continually invited personal dialog. I'll update again on Friday with good news.

It's been shown several times that you will tell several people the same story (as in "you're next for a refund"). I think if you have something to say, let us all see it. That keeps everyone honest. I have no desire to engage in a private conversation with you over this transaction, unless it is to confirm the mailing address of my refund. Everything else should be right here out in the open for all to see.

I wasn't kidding when I said this would all be over by Xmas. I myself am looking for full time work currently. So far I have not been contacted by anyone interested in my items for trade, and little to no luck on CL. I've tried avoiding eBay but I think I will just have to sell items there. Stay tuned for good news next week.

According to who?

I don't recall saying that anywhere.

If you're not involved, stay out.

If you are feel free to ask questions, press for answer or take whatever legal action you wish.

This rule is not intended to 'shield' the OP simply to eliminate the dogpile affect that is so prevalent in these situations.

If you are not involved in the GB and have an offer/suggestion/proposal for the OP send it via PM.

If you are involved in the GB and have an offer/suggestion/proposal for the OP feel free to post it here.

If you are involved in the GB and feel some legal action is needed feel free to discuss it among the other people involved in the GB here.

Regardless, to those actually involved ONCE AGAIN, a couple refunds are going out this Friday. Should be able to issue at least one refund every two weeks, with every other week looking more like two or three. We're all caught up from the gap in paychecks so it's steady progress from here. Thanks again to everyone who has been patient thus far.

07/17/12 you said:

How many people have gotten a refund since then? Zero.

Okay, as promised, today's people receiving refunds in full are the_weirdo, hsiehjohn, and tacticalteam4. I know it's a little bit out of order, but I will be taking care of that shortly.

While I understand the weekly update rule, I don't like that it allows Jason to hide behind it and not acknowledge questions raised. I posted the morning of the 13th, his last log in was that evening. No reason why he shouldn't have answered, except that he seems to steer clear of this thread except for *sometimes* giving us weekly updates ("nothing to report" does not count when questions go unanswered).
