Default Project Appleseed: Upcoming in SACRAMENTO

Been hearing about Appleseed Recently? Want to come give it a try? Missing out on Appleseed at Chabot? Here is your next opportunity in Northern California!

Come out to The Sacramento Valley Shooting Center in Sloughhouse to learn 3 Position Rifle Marksmanship, and the events that led to the American Revolutionary War.

We Teach 3 Position Rifle Marksmanship, Standing, Seated/kneeling, and Prone, with a Sling. No bipods/monopods at this event. We shoot at 25M targets that are scaled to simulate from 400yds. Trust me, this is a GREAT Experience for any Rifle Owner, new or regular to the range, everyone will learn something new.

This is a Two Day Event! Saturday and Sunday, March 11-12 at Sacramento Valley Shooting Center. All Rifle Calibers accepted below 44mag. Cost for the event is $60/adult and $20/youth. All LEO's and Active-Duty Military are $20 to attend.

I am really tempted with this as Sacramento is as about as close as it gets for me. However, I have a couple of questions regarding my rifle.

I have a browning sa22 which is tube feed through the butt stock, is this a problem? Also, I don't currently have studs for a sling and am quite reluctant to take a drill to my little beauty. Are there any non invasive options that would work?

Thanks

We can certainly make that rifle work. We allow extra prep time for tube fed rifles, so you will not be at a disadvantage there. As far as sling stud's we can put zip ties on the barrel of the rifle that you can sling up to, no drilling needed.

Hope to see you there!

If you are in the Mt. Shasta area...There are events at the Hat Creek Rifle and Pistol Club (just out of Burney) and the Tehama Shooters Association (out of Red Bluff).

That is good to know. They have websites with details? The trek to Sacramento is not insignificant!

Had a great time with my niece at this weekends event.
1st timmer and first real shooting instruction of any kind.
Can't believe how much instruction and history you get for the price.
We had a pretty big class and there were 7-8 under 18'ers who attended, which was encouraging for a CA event.
The instructors were great and can't say enough about their patience and helpful guidance.
If you were thinking about going, do it.
You will not regret it and most likely think about coming back and giving it another try.
Make sure to bring your sons/daughters, nieces/nephews, or even the half interested neighbor kid. They will enjoy as much or more than you will.
