I'm 17 and my dad bought a handgun when I was three, S&W Sigma 40. He bought it after he left the Army and started working as a Correctional Officer in a small county jail where we would see ex-inmates everywhere, including church so he bought it for home defense. I shot my first gun at Boy Scout camp, a bolt .22 of some sort. I knew he had a handgun but never shot it until I was 15. Just after I turned 15 he bought me and my brother a .22 mag; and now I am getting a Mosin-Nagant for my 17th birthday.

I'm 15. I've been addicted to guns since I was six (it IS an addiction ) when my mother got me a children's book at the library about Samuel Colt (like THAT'S still there ) I'm gonna do SOMETHING in the field of firearms when I start a career, and I'll hopefully be a salesmen at a gun shop, and being a gunsmith is a close second, if not above being a salesmen.

22 Here. Dad taught me how to shoot since I was 6. Got my first gun 10/22 when I was 10, then recieved an old 870 wingmaster when I was 12. Started shooting competively when I was 13 and never looked back. I mostly collect long guns, show me and type of shotgun or rifle and ill probably want it. Same goes for any 1911 or S&W wheel gun. Hoping to grab a Kimber Pro Carry II soon. Stay safe, and have fun everyone!

I'm 25 in the San Diego area. Picked up a polish tantal (AKM 74), marlin 795, Rossi .357 snubbie, and a Taurus PT92 (Beretta clone from the 92F days, still has the bottom magazine release). I always loved rifles and shot a lot and now that I can own pistols too I started up a collection.
Likewise to keep the habit I might have to take a collection! I love puns. |

Don't think I ever posted in this thread yet. I'm 22, go to Sac State, Criminal Justice major. Didn't own firearms until a year and a half ago. Got my LTC a month ago and I train whenever funds permit. Being a college student and owning firearms drown you in dept.

Second post here. I'm 19, as are many people on this forum are apparently! I've been into firearms every since I was 6-8 years old. I always loved watching action movies with my dad, especially The Matrix. My mother is pretty much anti-gun, and my dad owns a .357 he plans to pass on to me when I turn 21. I bought my first gun, a Mossberg Maverick 88 a few weeks before my 19th birthday, then a Coast to Coast 22lr a few weeks after. I've always been fascinated by firearms, always wanted realistic games like Rainbow Six 3, SWAT 4, ARMA, but didn't get them often until I turned 15 or so and now I play them often. Sadly, none of my friends are as interested in firearms as I am. So I've been mostly alone on this journey. Nice thread topic!

What the hell? Am I really twice most of your ages?? I'm 41 years old and grew up with half a dozen rifles behind the front door. I guess you could call us ridge runners. I started shooting when I was 11. In the eighth grade we were taught to shoot as part of PE in school. That's right guys, in my day, they GAVE us guns in school. In High School, we all had rifles in the windows of our trucks because we hunted in the morning before and in the evening after school. Dude really, I don't feel that old.

I'm 18 in January.
A few months ago, I had no interest at all in firearms, but since I've read about impending bans I was considering buying some sort of "assault weapon" before it was too late. However, I was too late and I didn't get anything. Anyhow, it got me interested in the subject and I started doing some research. And now I'm pretty much hooked.
