I'm not teen anymore but I'd like to share how I got into these. It was a necessity in a farmland. I could remember Papz let me shoot at 6 years of age with a 22lr.
Now, it is more political and practicing my rights and standing for what I now is my right.

22, got into shooting when my dad took me hunting.. I was 8 i think, I had his marlin 60 which he handed down to me. Told me to flush out the squirrel so I unloaded 14 rounds into a bush. Out comes a squirrel. I was hooked then.

Hmm, well I seem to be in the right age group for this section, so heres a little bit about me. I'm 21 and have been shooting on a more regular scale since I was 18. My parents were pretty indifferent on guns, so the only time I went shooting as a child was with family friends. They weren't anti gun, but more or less found shooting to be boring and couldn't understand why I loved guns so much. They wouldn't buy me guns (Except BB guns) so I turned to Airsoft when I was 12 or 13 and by 16, ended up being one of the most well known custom pistol builders within the online Airsoft community, as well as a website administrator of AirsoftForum.com. I'm kind of embarrassed to mention that, but oh well. I bought my first gun the day I turned 18 and 10 days later was the proud owner of a Marlin 336. Since that day, I've bought, built and collected up 13 firearms, and shoot 2-3 times a week - usually 1-2 days of trap and some fun plinking and then another day of IPSC practice. I don't compete yet, but have been in love with it since my days of $1500 Airsoft pistols and having nothin else to do with them lol. Well I think thats about it for me!

I'm 19, gonna be 20 in 4 months
I was introduced into guns when I was about 10?(BB gun) then a few years later went to visit my dad in Texas for a summer. He is a LEO and took me to shoot my first real guns. After that summer I didn't shoot for a few years then my step dad took me out when I was 17 a few times. Moved out at 18 and bought an 870, then moved in with my parents here in Indiana 4 months ago and have acquired a few long rifles, as well as a handgun(which I sold recently). Hopin to get alot more before moving back to California lol But I tell ya, Indiana is the place to be if your into guns California has much nicer weather though

I'm 14, I have cousins in Texas, they pretty much got me into them, though I'm still trying to convince my dad to buy something bigger, so far I have a mark 3 (lame) and by the end of today, October 11, 2009 I shall have a S&W K-frame revolver 357 magnum.

24, been into guns since i was about 10-12. Started buying them for myself last year though since i finally had the cash flow and convinced my wife we should be able to protect ourselves and hunt for our own food some times. she loves deer jerky so it wasn't that difficult.

Hi, never really started checking out other threads, always just looked at pictures ha.
Anyways i'm 19, turning 20 in december. ROTC cadet. Started with a good ole Daisy Red Ryder when i was much younger. Love the freedoms we have that many people take for granted. Owning such a tool (firearm) is such a beautiful privilege. I am a born patriot and love this country so much. Got a .17hmr, at 18 bought a 12ga 590, soon after built my AR15 to practice for the military. Recently bought a Mosin Nagant 91/30 at big5 for a hundred bucks. Glad to see other like minded people in my age range. we are the future!

I'm 20, I got into firearms because I have an uncle who's a gun nut, closet and attic full of hunting rifles and pistols. He comes twice a year to my farm and brings new toys we shoot all weekend here in the last free territories of the Peoples Republic of CA, that's how I got into guns.

23 yrs old here, grew up with only pellet and bb guns until I was 17 and decided to go into the army. then my pops bought a mini-14 and a rock island 1911 and we have since been battling a serious case of gun addiction.
I think between me and my dad we're now at ~60 rifles/shotguns/pistols. |

I'm 22, maybe a little old for this thread but what the heck. My dad(Waldog, he posts every now and then) introduced me to this forum. And how long have i been around guns? Well...It started at conception with gunpowder. I think i was around 4 or 5 when I shot my first firearm. Been obsessed ever since.

I'm 20. I've been shooting occasionally for the past 4 or so years ~ my dad is a bit of an enthusiast. This past year though I've really gotten in to guns and just bought a .22 AR-15 that I pick up this sunday. IDK if I'll be getting my HSC next year though since I might be in D.C. doing an internship, and I go to school in Ohio.
Anyone else here from the Menlo Park/Palo Alto/Redwood City area?

25, always had a thing for guns but kinda been anti for awhile. I guess I still kinda am in some aspects. But I do believe that things are going downhill in the US and will continue to the next 25 years (kinda a believer in the shtf scenario) . So a 2k investment into something that would save mine or my families life isn't too bad. So I bought an xd .45 a mossberg 500 and built an ar-15.
