i signed up last year as a trial run. I can't stand the constant phone calls and mailings and emails. I asked for nothing but resign up information and was constantly bombarded with please send us money please send us money.

I let it lapse and don't plan on signing up again because I don't want the bother.

Just ask them to take you off the calls and mail (they will)

and I just re-uped me and my oldest son yesterday at the CalExpo gun show 25 each for the re-up and we got into the show for FREE ++++

then on my way out I singed up my 13 year old and he won't take off his NRA hat

5 year NRA member, but I had a one year membership before that. Going into my 3rd full year of membership with them next year.

Just got a one year membership in CRPA. Only reason I did this is that I'm in college and am seriously think of leaving the state once I receive my BA and maybe my JD and didn't want to get overly invested in an org that focuses on a state I'm most likely leaving. While I'm in CA, I'll renew my membership with them on a yearly basis. If I can find the $$$ I'll probably join the Buckeye Firearms Association (I go to school in OH) and the 2AF.

Good thinking... and good idea. I'll have to admit, the constant mailing are starting to become annoying. I understand the repetition to raise funds.. and I give when I can... but yeah, rather see them save money... and for me, reduce me weekly paper waste. A win / win in my eyes.

Life Member! I believe that every gun owner should become a member. Help protect our freedoms! If the NRA was not so strong we would have already lost our rights.
