Who cares about the bullet button? The Arsenal SAM7R was sold at Turners for around 1600 couple weeks ago.

Has anyone bought from Atlantic before? I was going to buy one of their Egyptian maadi kits but they were going to charge me their state tax as I was about to check out. I double checked to make sure that I had put California as the shipping address. If I buy a whole rifle am I gonna get screwed paying double taxes? On for their state and again in Ca?

I ran into the same problem. The website shows MD sales tax but when they sent me an invoice by email, there was no tax on it.

I recently did and will be getting the AK7.62x39 out of jail in a few days and my bro just did it again recently, A.F. did not charge state tax.

FYI. These new SAM7Rs and SAM7Ks are nothing like the SAM7 of the past. I've seen one in person and it is like comparing a Bentley to a 300M. Sure, it looks like it, but build quality is no where near the original. It looks like Arsenal rushed in making these new ones to meet the demand, or cash in on the panic buying. There are already stories of cracked carriers.

We only charge sales tax on MARYLAND sales the site shows tax until you register your account and the site knows you are not located in MD . Thus if you just add the item to your cart it will show tax once your Log into your account and register that your are in CA the tax is removed .

Fact is that I have an original SAM7 and put right next to each other, the new one pales in comparison, so much so that I cancelled my order with K-VAR for the pistol. I finally saw the pistol in Ammo Bros Ontario a couple of weeks back and I am glad I cancelled. In my opinion, the SLR pistol is even nicer. However, for the price, these new ones are a good value for a milled AK.

LMAO. Hurry! Lets trash our AK because some guy on the INTRANET said his AK carrier is cracked. I am guessing Arsenal sold thousands of them and I only see ONE horror story come up on Google search.. yet you claimed that there were "Stories" of them as if it happens often? I d suggest getting some hard facts before you crap on a rifle?

Anyways, no its not the older SAM7 but its a great rifle and the quality is there. I m only helping people locate some good AKs on the web.

No need to get your panties in a bunch LOL. Hopefully the guy with the cracked carrier is an isolated case, and at the end of the day, Arsenal is selling a good valued AK at a price point that is indeed hitting a sweet spot in today's market.

My main gripe is why call it an SAM7 when you have a higher quality/price point offering in the SA M-7 line? Bad marketing decision and if more cases pop up of poor quality/defects, sure enough, the SA M-7 brand equity will be affected - which sucks for SA M-7 owners.

I handled a SAM7R at Parallax this past weekend and it was nearly as flawless as an AK could be, and the action was like butter. I don't know what the older, better ones were like but I assume they must be gold plated and shoot diamonds.
