Just got all of the entries in, including tron18 and grammaton76. (BTW, grammaton, what flavor of Linux do you run? Linux FTW! )

Will upload the SHTF-SD file in minutes, so check the site. Also, PLEASE PM me links/files of any applicable survivalist stuff that you think I should put on my site. I won't host copyrighted files, but I will code links to them if you like.

-Maca

Edit: In the interest of not running into my storage quota on UCSD's servers, I'll only accept links to files unless you have some very compelling reason for me to host the actual file.

All,

The newest SHTF-SD file, which includes all entries up until this post, is now available. Please note that I have now adopted a filename convention where the version number is a part of the filename. This current release is ver. 1.0 since we have a lot (thirty so far!) of names and a few locations. Everyone will need to redownload the file to get the newest info.

Again, PM me for the link and suggest any good spots that are not currently in the SoCalranges file. Also, for those who already have the link, you may now drop the "index.html" portion of the link as I convinced UCSD to fix the server problem.

Best,

-Maca

Edit: I'll take this opportunity to remind people to send me any corrections to the map. If your location looks odd, please let me know!

damn that's a late class.

Here's is my general idea/vision for this thread:

1) Organize a shoot somewhere, and sometime soon. Thinking early Jan, gunshow is next weekend, then xmas, then NYE recovery weekend, so early January is probably most realistic.

2) Once we meet face to face with members, I would like to create a google earth with real info on it. Now obviously access to this map will be restricted to people who give their own personal info. The only way to give personal info is face-to-face just so we can verify its legit and not just some random dude shooting me a pm wanting to get adresses of gun owners in SD. (Need to figure out a secure way to store this date e.g. password access only)

3) Try to setup a simple schedule for shoots or just meetings to throw around some ideas. Unfortunately I work in the nightlife industry so my schedule is all kinds of weird, which makes meeting difficult for me. I'm thinking about paying for a little website since Macadelic4's space at UCSD is limited. This would be to host some more materials and schedule.

4) Train a lot and annex PB...just kidding

ETA: Any suggestions are always welcome. As I said in the OP if nothing else this thread will allow Calgunners in SD to meet up easier because we have a contact list. Even now without real personal info it would already be pretty easy to organize something because we're all listed in one thread and one map, to make for some easy PMing

Oh yeah, Don't look at ninna, she keeps telling me that you creep her out...

ninna turned out to be a crazy liberal who cares more about animal rights than human rights. but she sure was purty.... allison was the same.. dont know what happened to abby or meg.

lets start with #1 first. name a place and a date/time. see how many people can go and see what happens from there. the only ranges i've been to are the indoor ones at DGM and ASC... i have a membership at SBR&GC... im always up for new ranges.

Will post a poll sometime this week when I know my own schedule for January more. I always prefer BLM land to shoot on rather than any clubs simply because i can do more what I want to do without worrying too much about other people. Although i've never been to SBRGC, if there's a RSO and you can't move while shooting I get bored. I'll send you a PM to show what I mean.

All,

SHTF-SD ver. 1.1 is up on the site and ready for download (includes each member who contributed up to this post).

Still looking into getting a secure server, so everyone stay tuned.

At home, Fedora - because I haven't had to rebuild anything lately.

At work - all CentOS for the servers, and OSX for my desktop box + laptop.

Formatted over my last Windoze hard drive back in 1998. The only thing I miss still is Alien vs Predator 1. And, I haven't cared enough about it to install Cedega.

Maybe some day we could use it in a real SHTF situation but till then it might just be good way to organize shoots/training sessions with some good people.

Trevor,
I used to be a member and will join the North County Shooters Assoc. again soon. I haven't been in a while due to chasing down an accuracy issue (slightly out of torque ring). When I join up again, I'll post again so maybe we can have a meet out there.

That means you live in a pretty nice neigborhood, or a really bad neigborhood depending on the direction. My roommate got popped 4 times about 8 blocks North of here. He was walking home late one night and a bunch of bangers saw him. He came out of it okay, but not havin health insurance really put his finances in a bind.

No problem, good luck in your recovery. To drop the weight, fruit, sprints and treadmill work for me when I am getting fat. (That and cutting out fast food and Starbucks)

Anybody that comments negatively on that is an idiot. I'll admit, most people think woman when they hear nurse, but a critical care nurse is an important & honorable job, ain't nothing wrong with that brother. Heck, if you're worried about negative comments just abbreviate it to CCN. Acronyms sound manly.
