Price my Glock please...
I'm thinking of selling my Glock to fund a different toy.
I'm having a problem posting because I don't know what to ask. I read the OT post about price gouging vs giving it away, so want honest opinions of what it's worth. Anyways here's the details. -Glock 17 3rd Gen. -American made in Smyrna, GA -6 factory mags -Extended slide stop lever -Extended mag catch -3.5lb trigger -Competition spring kit -Tungsten guide rod -Truglo tritium/fiber optic sights -Streamlight TLR-1s Now I know what I have invested, but in today's market, what's a fair price? Only about 300 rds old. Thanks! |

Remember that some people may not want all that extra *stuff*, so if you're trying to sell it as a package, that may be difficult.
The gun alone with all 6 mags and sights one could probably easily ask for $600.

That's what I was afraid of. I'm not in the mood to sell any other weapons so I may be stuck with it.

You could probably get more for it if you returned it to factory condition and sold your upgrade parts in the accessories section. Really hard to get what you put into guns like this

I agree. You can try posting it for what you wanted, however if you part it out slowly you will probably have a better return.

I recently sold a G22 OD Green to a fellow Calgunner for $625.
It had Meprolight night sights, extended mag release, extended slide lock, 3.5# connector and two mags. I gave him extra 10 rd mags for $10 ea, and some 17 round rebuild kits for $25 ea. People have been selling OD Green Glocks for $800+, I just couldn't bring myself do that. I then sold off my nearly 5,000 rounds of .40 S&W here on the Marketplace and have been thanked and complimented numerous times for not gouging. I would rather make new friends and make people happy as opposed to making a buck or two................ BTW, I used the $$ from my sales to buy a Les Baer 1911. Shot it for the first time Saturday. I be happy. |

I've sunk chunks of cash into my boat.....arrrg.. I will never recover that money. Personally I feel the GLOCK 17 is one of the best in the world in 9MM. It is a baseline weapon that should be part of everybodies Gun Collection. A grab and go, reliable handgun. I would never sell my G17s. (or 15s) I consider all GLOCKS worth around $500 plus or minus 50 bucks. In SHTF your Glock will be priceless. keep it. (and the Mossy)

Don't take it the wrong way, but I'd pay less for every non-factory part on that gun.
If you want to sell that light separately, let me know. I've been looking for one.

I picked up this g19 gen3 for $390 not to long ago. It was lnib with night sights and 2mags. I knew I can sell it for $400 and not loose money in it.image.jpg
You could sell your g17 for around what you paid for it.

OP, stick the gun out there for a dumb price, you will get offers via pm. It isn't an auction because you have to keep track of other offers. It is a nice package. If I never had to holster I would buy it.

I personally would ask 700 that seems reasonable, I wouldn't loose any sleep over that price. It's easier to negotiate a lower price but ask too low and someone will probably buy it just to flip the price up and gouge someone else so..........
I think others are right, the best way is to seperate the gun (in factory condition) with the rest of the assesories. It might take longer but your sure to see a higher return here on CG |
