Default I cannot seem to find these floorplate for my Glock 26

I have a Glock 26 I use for CCW. A few years ago I was given a floor plate from a buddy to try on the Glock 26 mags. It is made by Gap Enterprises, but everywhere I look I cannot find any more of these. I really like it because it helps improve control of the pistol but it does not extend the length of the magazine. Does anyone know where I could find a couple of these. And I am not interested in some of the other base plates that add additional rounds to the magazine because I am already at Max Capacity of 10 Rounds with the current length.

Pearce magazine base plates don't add anymore rounds. You simply swap out the base plates. Have them for my G29 and they work great.

Just saw you didn't want to extend length. They add 5/8 of an inch.

Yeah I think I will try to give them a call tomorrow. The reason I really like this floor plate is the way the little tab extends forward and rides underneath your finger.

You can also search for GAP enterprises on the New Mexico Secretary of State business search and discover more information

I too have been trying to contact them for several weeks now, but to no avail.

There was never any indication they were going out of business. Maybe something unfortunate happened, hope they can get back to business soon as I really like their floor plates too

Sounds like it might just be easier to get some new magazines? That's a lot of time to spend on a wild goose chase.

Wha? $30 for a single baseplate? No wonder they might have gone out of business.

I tried the Pearce base plates on my G26, they sucked, they pinched my finger with every shot. I ended going with X Grip extensions on G19 mags. It obviously adds length to the base but for me that isn't a problem. It definitely made handling the pistol more comfortable.

My wife found this same thing happened. The top edge of the Pearce grip is quite sharp and benefits from a bit of judicious sanding. Personally I found no difference in shooting with/without at slow fire speeds and it does nothing to help concealment. Actually it makes me want a Glock 19.

I tried trimming the sharp edge still didn't cut it for me. I bought the G26 along with a G19 and because of the finger grooves I didn't like the feel of the G19 compared to the 26 with the X Grip extensions sold the G19. If I could find second gen G19 at a reasonable price I'd try one again.

Both of those vendors are out of stock and they do not have an expected date of restock.

I called both numbers, both went to voicemail. I left messages for Greg and Lane. Hopefully someone will return my call with good news.

This company looks to fell off the face of the planet around September/October of last year. No new updates on any of their social media and website shut down around then too. I'd suspect they're OOB due to a lack of sales or high product costs. Possibly they had a family crisis, you can never be prepared for the unexpected...

They're cool looking. Not sure it adds function. But might.

I like the added surface are of the Pearce Grips because they make it easier to shoot. Gives your pinky a place to go which in turn helps control the recoil while shooting. But it does make it harder to keep from printing when concealed.

Much harder to conceal. The G26 is hard enough to conceal.I love it, I do. But it is not always practical. I am very tempted to pick up a SIG 238 380, just to have something smaller that prints less when the weather does not allow for heavier clothes. I am one of those rare ducks that is a fan of both the Glock and 1911, and the Sig 238 is basically a baby 1911. Functions the same. So I've got the manual of arms down already.

Last time I pinged the owner, he had moved states and was having trouble setting up a new business. That was several months ago, I really hope they come back. These things work great with the Glocks, the color matches well and nice quality plastic, too. If anyone has G29/30 or 26/27/33 sets that they want to sell, PM me... I'd like to get my hands on more of these.

An FYI for folks looking for these, there is a newer product that is very similar called the GeePlate, probably 90% of the quality that the GAP floorplate had. Available for G42, 43, many of the standard models, and now for G29/30. You can purchase them direct at www.geeplate.com.

I trimmed that sharp edge and it solved the problem for me.

You can also buy O-rings at the local hardware store that fit perfectly over the mag and fill in the space so your finger deosn’t get pinched

Pearce makes a variety of mag floor plates and extensions. You should be able to to find something that works for you.

My Son uses the magazine spacers on his G27 with G23 mags.. the gun is way more controllable with the longer mags.

I got Pearce Mag Extensions for my G36 which is a .45. They are supposed to increase the capacity to 7+1 however the top round is under so much spring tension that the gun won't cycle the first round so I just keep the mags loaded with 6 rounds.

The extra grip length makes the gun much more shootable. Barrel length/ site radius becomes much less of an issue when you can properly grip the gun.
