Default Henry lever action 410?

Anyone get either of these models yet?
Thoughts?
Seems like they are hard to find. Especially at the MSRP that is advertised.

Only thing I know is that they are on the 45/70 Henry frame and have similar action parts.

Bot Marlin and Winchester had a 410 lever recently, they got mixed reviews (jamming was a complaint for some owners), so I almost bought one but didn't. The Henry will I think be a much better gun and it comes with the best customer service of any large American gunmaker in history.

I had a Marlin about 30 yrs ago sold it cuz never shot it and I still have the Westernfield bolt action 410 my brothers bought back in 1958 shipped directly to the house, I think it cost $25! I also have a new Mossberg 500 pump with riot bbl and longer bbl with chokes. Was thinking pretty hard on the Henry, prices seem a little high right now. Thanks!

If it took the 3" shells I'd have one by now. But took a pass instead, still nice looking rifle though !

I recall a kid of about 12 had on at the local trap and skeet club shooting trap with one back in 2008. Not certain that it was a Henry, but I believe that it was. He shot it a lot every weekend. I never heard any complaints from him or his father about it.

I handled one @ Sportsmans supply in Campbell. It was well made and looked great. It looked just like my 45-70 except it had 410 on the barrel. They ordered two and both were sold immediately, the one I handled was in the process of being DROSed.
I can't wait for the inevitable 12 gauge...that would be awesome.

Not in 2008. Henry started making the lever .410 in 2017.

I guess if they made a 45-90 rifle then they'd have the platform for a 3in 410? 3 inch would be nice.

I owned (and eventually sold here in CG) the Winchester. Worked fine, but lack of 3" capability made it less useful for me. Not much a "fowling piece" as it points like a rifle vs. shotgun. Good rodent gun.

Rossi makes a 410 lever gun as well. I thinks its priced cheaper than the Henry, but hard to find from what I can tell.

"Not in 2008. Henry started making the lever .410 in 2017. "

Gotcha, as stated I wasn't certain. Musta been a Winchester or Marlin then.

Thanks for that heads up didn't know that.

I often wonder WHY the smaller gauge shotguns in one model shotgun is always MORE expensive that same model in 12 or 20 ga???

Fewer numbers made?

IMHO, ya...mostly numbers. Scaled down models cost just as much in tooling, but less numbers to amortize over.
