Was shooting and one shot just felt odd - looked at the 669 and saw a little chunk missing from the frame. No catastrophic disintegration or injury...just sorta cracked apart.

Sent it in to S&W and they replaced the frame...the only bummer was that the original had a squared-off trigger guard, but it was no longer available.

Attachment 353938

586 I picked up in the forums, threw on some Herrett stocks. They fit great, tight with no skip at all. Plus you can get them for around $30.

I need a 4006 in my life now...

Also want a SHIELD for general carry. I like the bodyguard, but I like the SHIELD more.

Any excuse I can use to post up my guns

Up top is my 9mm Shield with a viridian reactor flashlight, on the right is my Model 66 no dash that I put the Pachmayr grips back on since they're a bit more comfy than the wood grips, and on the left is the Model 19-3, that had rubber grips and I switched them out to the wood with a grip adapter and unlike the 66 I think this handles better than the rubber grips it had.

Not the greatest of pictures, but since my camera is down all I got is my phone.

Well its not a Smith, but it is a Wesson!

Default M&P 45 CCO (kinda)

I love my M&P45 Compact.

IMG_9403.jpg
But I always thought it should have been offered with the option of a full size slide, kind of like a CCO. So I got on eBay and looked for a slide, barrel, and recoil spring.

As luck would have it, I found a complete, unused fullsize slide(without the warning) offered for sale by Hilton Yam. Score.

IMG_9404.jpg
Then I found a like new recoil spring/guide rod, but no luck on the barrel. Oh well. Good thing Storm Lake makes aftermarket barrels.

IMG_9405.jpg
A couple days later it was all in my mailbox, and here she is.

IMG_9407.jpg

Only gained a half an inch overall. But I like it, and it shoots great

A couple of no dashes... 66 & 686. The "red ramp" on the 66 is Krylon blaze orange paint.
