POF Lower Parts Kits
Recently purchased a POF GEN II 416 Billet lower w/ FA markings. I have a CMMG LPK but noticed POF LPK'S are in stock online.
Should I just run with the CMMG, or go for the POF? Anyone have any experience with POF LPK'S? Maybe drop the CMMG for a CMT/RRA? |

About three months ago when I built my POF Gen III lower I inquired what brand of LPK POF was using in thier full rifle builds. At that time Chris from POF told me they use Bushmaster LPK's in their builds.
I put a RRA LPK w/2 stage trigger in mine. |

Both RRA and Bushmaster are better than CMMG/DPMS.
It's your choice, though.

keep the CMMG! i have never witnessed a lower parts kit fail except one time when i was in basic training and one of the pins for my trigger slid out and locked up the whole trigger, i got *****ed out for a while over that one even though the damn rifles they give you are worn as hell and suck. If you are building a precision gun then by all means get a 2 stage RRA, if a general/shtf gun then this lpk is the ticket.

How about LMT 2 stage trigger compared to RRA?

tv,
I heard that the LMT 2-stage was very close to the RRA trigger, but didn't wear as bad. but for the price ~$150 you could just spend $30 more and get the Geissele SSA 2-stage. here a discussion from AR15.com: http://www.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=3&f=12&t=408737 |

$170 for the Geissele is just for the trigger. Then don't you have to buy the lower parts kit some where between $60 plus? It I assume the total cost would be around $230 for the whole kit. Right???
