Hay arocan thanks for the compliment. It shoulders up real nice and the ghost ring is the best I've seen. Real easy to eye the target and really sweet on skeets.

I got a mossy 500 mariner and have been wanting to put better sights on it, It looks pretty easy to add the rail, just screw it in right?? -I'm thinking either an EO tech sight or a ghost ring and larger front sight. Also a Knoxx collapsable stock....I might even go crazy and get a flashlight! any opinions would be appreciated.

do all of that.

I think you'll find that once you mount a rail, and then optics on top of that, it will be uncomfortably high.

I'm still looking for a flashlight mount that snuggles in between the barrel and magazine.

so what is your recommendation for shotgun sights? I prefer tritium sights but I don't see any at cabelas, cheaper than dirt or bass pro, only fiber optic....which is okay if you want a plastic sight....i guess

-the knoxx stock is still a must for me...I have a hard time with 3'' 00 buckshot after the first round and have heard great things about the stocks.
-flashlight would also be good....I like to see what I'm shooting before I shoot.

Most people literally say: "well at least if you run out of ammo, you can insert verb here the bad guy in the insert noun here"
Though I like your meat grinder analogy. Maybe I should nick-name it that!

emrivera1, is that one of King Armory's breeching brakes? Joey makes good stuff, how's the recoil on that one?

3 That didn't fit in the shotgun safe.

It sure it Joey's. To be completely honest, I haven't had time to go out and play with it since I had KA work on it. I don't recommend taking a Microbiology class for the summer.

Those o/u's are the ones that don't fit in your safe? I wish I could say the same. I'd love to have just one o/u!

I've been considering one for some time now. But I don't know if I really want one. I'm trying to build a Tac-SG without looking too cluttered/busy. Perhaps I already failed that, who knows?

i understand your frustrations. i am trying to build my 590 up tactical but not with to much crap hanging off the sides. (if such a thing exists) i chose the 8 shot carrier which is very high quality. i think a 4 shot would be a good compromise for you.

oh and of course you can add shell holders on your mesa tactical stock adaptor too

I was looking at the mossberg ghost ring sight, and is says gunsmithing needed. Has anyone bought one of these and is the gunsmithing for the front sight? http://www.mossberg.com/cgi-bin/comm...ategory%3DSIGH

Yeah I ended up ordering a heat shield with built in sights attached to the heat shield, will see how that works. Not sure if the rear sight is too far forward, anyone ever use this type---- Also is the JB Weld strong enough to hold the mossberg type front sight I like the idea of doing it myself but im worried about how much heat is on the barrel. Check link. http://www.combathunting.com/MOSSBER...NG_SIGHTS.html

Finally got around to modify my Charles Daily I got back in Feb. Added an old pistol grip laying around by modifying a remmington spacer and buying a bolt to fit the grip. Almost looks stock except the spacer is slightly off color. Also added an old heat shield. Haven't fired it yet but I like the small size compared to my 7 shot Mossberg 500. Waiting on a few parts for that one to change it up a bit, will post pics on that one in a few weeks. Just bought this shotgun because it was on sale and very cheap , just for a quick grabber, nice and light.

Here's my modified "tacticool" Mossberg 500 with the ATI catalog bolted on. I know, I know ATI is crap, but it was my first gun and they actually don't work too bad......
