Very nice, I'll be getting mine out of jail on Monday. Does your's have that stupid LCI and printing on top of the slide?

Yes it does but its not that bad. I dont like the writing ontop of the slide per say but the LCi is fine.

Did changing the E2 grips out with the rosewood make the overall grip thicker?

Yes it made the grip thicker. I Held an Equinox back in the day and always loved the way the grips felt. Very comfortable for my hand size. The E2 grip was a little small/uncomfortable to me. When I bought the P229 I had every intention of swapping grips. It had every thing I wanted and now with the grips it has to me the best of everything. Heads up Sig is having a sale coming up for their custom shop work. Thinking of sending mine in to get some work done.

MK25... Just got the Viridian tac light, it's great!
The gouge grips add too much girth to the grip for my liking... Gonna have to change them out... Love the night sights though!!

Sheesh my ol P220 looks like a beater (and is) compared to most of these on this thread! Mine is a nearly daily carry and is the "go to" pistol in the home. One of these days I may spring to have it re-coated, but the holster wear gives it some personality... like my freakin wrinkles and grey beard... grrr

Since I got my Enhanced Elite 40sw CA compliant version, I love this gun except for the ugly LCI and laser printing on top of the slide. I found on Sigforums.com that Osage County Guns in MO on their online site, shop.sigsauerguns.com has the Legacy Elite slide kits on clearance for $249.99 and will stack another 10% off on thier Black Friday sale. I called and spoke with John there and he took the time to physically see if the 40sw version slide would fit the P226 EE and confirmed it did. So it goes without saying, I'll be getting one of these on Black Friday. Some of the other Legacy elite caliber kits would only work on German frames. As far as the magazine disconnect safety, I removed that yesterday and is now dropping the hammer w/o the mag in the well.
I could have left it alone but I just seeing the LCI and having the mds just reminds me of the fight we have get guns here in CA. Last edited by CAGLS; 11-16-2012 at 9:03 AM.. |

Sig Sauer's latest addition to the pocket 9's:
Great night sights, great pointability, trigger is decent, decent accuracy, and ambidextrous safety is easy to disengage with one hand, but hard to engage (which is my preference), and easy to conceal IWB. Only bad thing: it requires alot of maintenance. It does not like to be run dirty or dry (I've been spoiled by my glocks/m&P), and shows excessive wear on the barrel hood after a few outings. Here's my de-Californianized P229 Enhanced Elite 40sw. I swapped out the LCI slide with the Legacy Elite slide and also removed the magazine disconnect safety. It ran perfect at the range. I also put a deposit down yesterday on a P226 stainless steel Elite with German frame.

Original post collection. Wow, do you have 24 kids? If not, are you up for adopting me?
I have a single P226 (modified by me with Tru-Glow and SRT) and am very pleased with it. (Also a 92f, an old, original S&W 39 or is that 59 (?), Ruger P89, 2 Sig 230s, and all sorts of other autos and revolvers of an older age ((70s Gold Cup e.g.)) - going back to Walker). Wife is out buying a Sig 226 or a M&P 9 right now. I strongly suggested the Sig, if it fits well. Retired and disabled so few more Sigs cuz of finances.
