800 Backers

$63,612 pledged of $65,000 goal

15 hours to go

The opportunity to take a stand for liberty in the face of tyranny?

Priceless.

Pledge today or the cost tomorrow could be more than we could imagine.

We're so close!

Good luck Kris.

Mike

You all need a pat on the back. There were times I thought the 65,000 was so big there was no way. Congrats to the gun owners on Cali! We all win!

That's why this ain't over yet. We must stay vigilant and take the fund beyond $65,000. Also, Amazon and Kickstarter take 9% for a commission so extra funding helps.

Great work everyone, but lets make sure someone backing out at the last minute does sink the ship. I'm going to bump my pledge up a little for insurance.

We did it. Only small fraction of Calgunners - eight hundred members out of tens of thousands registered.
The owner of Calguns should charge the cheapskates and penny pinchers a membership fee for accessing his forum.
I'm not kidding. There are thousands of them lurking around and hunting for bargains in the "for sale" section. And they believe everything here should be free - information and gun rights included.
Make the For Sale section open only to active contributors, to people who support our efforts and donate or volunteer. The rest can only get access there after they pay a membership fee.

And the best part of all of this is is that the Bradies and the gun grabbers can't say this was funded by the NRA, it was 100% grassroots, baby!

The pain train is coming straight at them full speed!!! They can't handle the truth!!!! (BTW, A Few Good Men was an awesome movie).

This is the beginning of the end of Gun Control in America! Freedom will ring once more! For the first time in almost 45 years, the Constitution of the United States of America will mean something again!!!

Just a question on the side though. but since Kickstarter takes a 9% commission from every project that succeeds, wouldn't this mean we would have to hit $71k for the film to go through, or is it a done deal at this point?

I don't donate to anything,, This is important!!

Since when truth has stopped the antis to tell the most outrageous lies?
They're gonna run to the media and say it's the evil gun lobby and the NRA who ordered this movie. And the media will inhale their lie hook line and sinker because they want to believe the same thing. Don't expect any journolist to verify their claim and ask to hear what we have to say. They're not in the business of telling the news, they're in the business to manufacture the news according to their own political views.

They'll shut their mouths real quick once they see the credits

You will NOT see the NRA (or for that matter, any *major* 2A advocacy groups) being mentioned anywhere in the credits (They MIGHT get a nod or two in the film itself, but it's the credits we're talking about here). I will bet you money on that.

Sorry, but there were many people of those 800 that ARE NOT CalGunners. There are many out of state blogs and podcasts that got people kicking in for this. I suspect less than half are from people in CA.

I think the credits should list the name of every contributor, with a heading of Contributors $500.00 or less... Then it will be obvious where the funding came from with a list of 800 names, it can go by quickly, but is will be obvious that there were a lot of contributors....

That much is true, however I think we should respect the wishes of anyone who donated that want to remain anonymous if there are any. Although, given how passionate we are about the 2A, I strongly doubt anyone wants to remain anonymous

I think 'half plus' is about correct; SAF's email blasts had quite an effect (as did CGF's) - lots of, if not predominantly, California support but definitely generous contributors from across the US helped make this happen.
