Default FiOS ONT-power battery 13.25v, and 11 years old?

FiOS battery at 13.25v, and per some reading I just did... 13.2v is a good battery. Not bulging or anything.

HOW is this even possible for a battery with a sticker on it stating the battery was deployed in 2005, the garage even gets and stays over 100 degrees during the summer for many hours at a time?

Is it really good, or can some battery-ninja here give me some info on why it seems good, if it might not be?

No idea.

My ONT beeps every 2 months or so. I unplug the battery, wait a minute and plug it back in. Good for another 2 months. Battery is a year old.

Timing is strange. My ONT beeped yesterday morning. Some history:

New battery 2/7/15

I got the battery beep on

9/10/15
10/15/15
12/6/15
1/20/16
3/4/16
4/18/16
7/18/16

Your voltmeter won't tell if the battery is healthy, you need to test it under load.

My ONT would start beeping when the garage door slammed closed. Disconnect and re-seat would do it for me.

In my old apartment it started brownfield and was about 6 years old. Hoped to revive it with a trickle charger but that didn't work.

Verizon tech explained to me is like the batteries in a remote control going dead, vz wasn't therfore responsible for supplying a new battery. He also explained it was primarily for land line telephone users to still be able to make phone calls if the power went out (911). Well, since I didn't have phone service, i found a way to disable the beeping; simply remove the beeper! Haha

OP, you have a defective battery. The planned obsolescence has obviously failed and left you with a dangerously overcharged battery. You must replace it immediately with an inferior superior generic battery designed to fail in 367 days.
