Default Can somebody please explain this to me?

There's a perfectly good 55 gallon trash can in front of the station, yet empty hulls still end up on the ground?

Are people that clueless?

The same reason that there's litter all over. Some people just don't care and/or are lazy.

Hard to cure this, without someone standing there to point out the error of there ways.

BTW, is this going to be an annual reminder? Here's your post from last year.

Nope, they just feel good when someone cleaning after them.
In general people enjoy when someone serves them, clip their nails, rub their back, wipe their *****, same with the garbage, do you know how superior they feel when throwing garbage on the floor knowing someone will pick after them?

If i had a dollar for every time i see a family having a picnic in the park and live all the garbage at the place were they did it despite the fact that similar to your barrel less than 20 feet away.

Comon, you told that you 60YO... you should know better. It is America, free country, they can do as they wish...

In singapur you get a jail time for as much as spiting on the street.

Why would you create a thread complaining about your own habits? Were you shooting with an autoloader?

Notice how the range raked up just before you got there??

BTW looks you might need to have the head space checked on your shotgun.

I carry an extendable mechanics magnet in my shotgun vest. Makes hull pickup easy peasy.

Don't understand those that do not pick them up. I've read some ranges discourage it; the range folks pick them up. Never seen that though.

Depends on the range rules. Many of the Sporting Clay ranges I shoot, there is no requirement picking up hulls. The range staff does pickups. When I shoot an O/U, I always deposit hulls into the can, regardless.

It's tougher when shooting an autoloader. Sometimes hulls fly 8"-10" away and it's unsafe when other shooters are shooting to try picking them up.

When shooting a Skeet or Trap range, it's easy to pickup hulls from any Shotgun.

Depends where you're shooting and what the range rules are on that particular range.

Some ranges are good with you picking them up, some are not.

I follow the rules of the range.

I’ve shot at ranges that had a policy if it hits the ground it’s theirs!

Well the top right one looked like it took a bounce through the rake marks so maybe this isn't staged. Semi auto shooter still on the line? How the heck would they be there with not a footprint in sight?

An A300 is a great gun. Especially if you're new to shotguns, I have three. But when I shoot clays I use my Browning 525.

For me, it's the right tool for the job.

If you're shooting a semi auto, sure. If you're shooting an o/u, catch them and throw them in the barrel.
