My brother uses a Sharpie on 3x2 magnetic labels. Moves from can to can, when a can is empty, just remove it and set it aside to reuse later

LOL, I slide a sharpie labled 3x5 index card under the top of the latch and then snap down the latch, and the card is captured. Problem is you have to be looking at the front of the can, not the side to see it. But, could put the index card sticking out, held by the lid on the side of the can, instead of sticking out in the front under the latch.

looks great but i need something quick and easy to read. Although not stylish I just prefer some painters tape with sharpie.

Yeah mine are readable and I just print more when I want to... I think I invested .28 into 40 labels or so... a little cheaper than $210 or whatever. Thermal labels are dirt cheap if you buy generic. I'll spend the extra $209.70 on stuff for my Ruger PCC to make it heavier, or buy tacos.
