Default Anybody using a Leupold Mark 4 LR/T?

Contemplating getting a Leupold Mark 4 LR/T 4.5-14x50mm (30mm) M1 Illum. Ret. to put on a 700P .308 and trying to find reasons not to.

If it does not have matching knobs and reticle I would stay away. Better options out there either way. Check out the Bushnell 3.5-21. New model is more pricey but last years model was around the same price as the Loopy.

It's a very good optic and on my to get list after I get a ACOG and Leupold Mk. 6 (1-6x) for my SCAR 16S and 17S respectively. US Optics is another great brand too and they allow you to customize just about every aspect of the scope. It's a toss up between those two for me actually for my LWRC M6A2 I plan on building.

I have one on my LMT MWS 308 and it works great. I'm not a super exerienced shooter but I was hitting 10 metal plate at 500 yrds with 70% accuracy. At 100 yds I was sub 1 moa (approx 3/4 moa). It holds zero very well, I have good sight picture thanks to the new Magpul PRS and the cheek riser. Overall a great scope and in my humble opinion well worth the price I paid for it.

The new ones are not nearly as well made as the ones from 15 years ago that earned the lepold mk4 it's reputation.
For less money, look at a vortex first focal plane 4-16 or 6-24 with matching mil-based knobs and reticle.
For more money, look at the bushnell 3.5-21 g2dmr.
