Received an email with an update:

"I just received an update...the company we purchased the Ready Mods from have not shipped our order nor do they have an exact date as to when they will do so. I sincerely apologize. If you would like a refund let me know; I am more than happy to provide assistance. Otherwise, I will continue to provide updates on the product."

I actually joined immediately...

I was more insinuating about members who got booted out and banned from Calguns for some unforgivable transgression, and then later re-joined under a new moniker !

I got an email from them tonight at 6pm about how they over sold the ready mods and if i wanted a textured frame they would ship them out tomorrow for me. i told them that sounds fine with me and replied. got a reply to any questions from nicole back in less than a min. sounds like a small company doing their best to take care of customers even when they are making little money and have lots of orders to get through.

Make one up. Use a mix of letters and numbers. I may or may not have used GhosteGun1, Spectre001 or Phantom1.

It gives you the option for name, address, and serial number to be placed on the plate....is the name and address optional?

How many digits for serialnumber?

Also, does the dimension and weight of the stainless steel plate fulfill CA requirements?

Was gonna ask for recommendation for a gunsmith or shop, but found this on YouTube.

LoL

Where do you see this because all the videos Lenny was showcasing and building the g43 80% had no serial plate in the usual spot below barrel/underside...??? If it does have the plate that's great news!

Can anyone confirm if it will fit Glock 43 holsters already out in the market? SS80 Frame looks too different than an OEM G43.

Yep. Video was done with early prototype or something. The production ones are advertised as having the stainless plate installed. Very cool! I managed to score a Battlefield Green G43 for a not too outrageous price, so likely won't get one of these, but I love that they are available!

Awesome! Looks like I got a new project lined up. I must have been living under a rock for quite a long time. I had no idea these kits were available.

I知 familiar with 80% (AR-15) lower receivers, but not handguns. I need to research this obviously, but can anybody tell me what is required to build one legally in CA?

Does it need to be serialized? Does it follow the same guidelines of long guns? Cannot build them to be sold, but can be home built for own use?

I知 really intrigued by this. I need to know more.

I'm not a lawyer so I won't comment on the legal part but this was easier then an AR 80%. All I need was a dermal, standard and fine files, and 2hrs of my time.

I did one of the early ones whittling it with a $1 Walmart pocket knife and a hand file. It took longer, but I was bored that afternoon.

The “$35 G17 Holster” from glock store works well with the PF940v2
It’s not the fanciest kydex holster, but it fits very well

I done quite a bit of reading on the subject and am still confused.

This is by far the most up to date and informative that I have found.

Thank you. That is one that I was considering so to have a "real" user recommend it seals the deal.

Funny! Not exactly a helpful video. Basically his advice can be summed up as no matter what parts you install, if they don稚 fit/work properly then just buy a Glock slide, trigger, barrel, etc and see if that solves the problem. So basically keep spending money on parts until you find something that works. LOL!
