Rebuilt the mill on Monday, I need to dial it in and make some additional fixtures so it should be within a week or so.

Might not be the right place for this but Ares sells an 80% anodized version. Can I buy this, mill it out, and have no issues with the coating? Or is it better to buy the one without and then have it done after milling? Completely new to 80% lowers so treat me like a dummy and school me. Thanks in advance.

Hey, can you pm me the address? I have an appointment time for tomorrow 12/12 @ 430PM. Also, can you confirm that you've done a QD billet 80% lower before? Not sure I want to be the guinea pig haha. Thanks!

Visited buildagun today and opened up a paperweight today. A great experience and I plan on going back and bringing more to finish.
J an G did a great job with setup and programming.
I had contemplated getting a jig but with how nice this turned out, I'll just make another trip to OC.

I checked out buildagun and had 2 of the QD billet lowers completed. Service was fast (2 80%s completed in an hour) and friendly, highly recommended. One thing I might suggest is picking up some of the Birchwood Casey aluminum touch up because I did notice there were tiny specs of the anodized finish coming off. Not a big deal at all and it did turn out nice!

Looks good, I'm still waiting for my paperweights

@buildagun - think you can mill Ares 1911 80% yet?

Or a TM AR10?
