It's so ugly...it's kind of sexy. I'd take one in black. But knowing Keltecs history....I'll wait till gen 2 or gen 3. Don't feel like being the beta testers for their stuff.

Since RDB-C share the same internal as RDB, I would say it is their "gen 2". But your concern with Kel-Tec's reputation is well funded. I had to send my RDB in for repair due to major FTF/FTE.

Does it get pregnant after 6 beers and you swear you remember nothing, then have little RDB's that resemble your other rifles following you around for 18 years tugging your shirt and asking you for your debit card and PIN number (old days would have been asking you to write a check)?

I like it. Doesn't look any worse than all of the neutered, stripped down, and modified ARs that Californians are relegated to shooting. Everything online says it's MOA/sub-MOA and is very soft shooting.

Fun OK, but how reliable is it, this is the important for me question. Care to share your experience?

The Turners price wasn’t bad. They’re sold out now, and one just went for $1,200 on GB: https://www.gunbroker.com/item/750078074

I got one from Turners while it was available. It’s heavier than it looks, but nicely balanced. I like how they fit a 20.5” barrel, yet keep OAL at 30”. Came with the KelTec sling and a Magpul pmag.

I see one of my TA-33’s or TA-44’s on the rail.

That’s a 16” upper above it, for comparison.

Install a red painted muzzle brake, that will get the gungrabbers pink panties all bunched up for sure and they will instinctively migrate to the wadded up pink panty girly men event that will demand another law to stop the daily mass shootings at the nursery schools my rampaging 4 year olds that thought they were playing with a nerf gun and got it by the 74 year old going blind school resource officer (who is the principles father who never saved anything for retirement so needed a job to live and for to buy alcohol and dates with stormy daniels) because he said he saw the red tip and thought it was a toy.

After that the red tipped muzzle device will be declared evil and laws will be passed to protect the little old ladies, girly men with wadded up pink T panties riding up their arse giving them the pink arse, saving the babies, protecting the children, and alieving the fears of men with small hands.

After all of that you will demanding from anyone at Calguns where you can buy a rifle that has a red painted muzzle device because its evil and the Pelosi/Boxer/Barbara Lee/Kamala (yes I sucked Sick Willie to get him to give me tax payer dollars for to pay for my college education and jump over all my colleagues in getting a coosh government job) Harris who Obama said "what about my jeeber getting some action" as his wife gave him the evil eye wife look that was photographed virally when he came to CA to get $50-$60 million from his Silicon Valley ATM-Google-Apple Bank withdrawal/and of course the very senior dementia Feinstein-who holds at least 8 press events with dozen of rifles with red muzzle devices and citing statistics of the one mass shooting of 18 goats and another where it was an nerf gun with a red muzzle device that mowed down 13 first graders demanding that Congress act and ban red muzzle devices....

Just typing this gives me an urge to buy a gun with a red painted muzzle device before it gets banned and way before the gun panic buying of rifles with pink....uh I mean red painted muzzle devices an the 50 members here that bought all the rifles available anywhere with red muzzle devices and are now selling them here at Calguns with a 300% markup-but since they bought them all the only place you can find any are here so you give in and now pa $3k for this RDB-C because it has the now outlawed pink....I mean red muzzle device....

......then the gun grabbers say the pink painted muzzle devices are no different than the red ones so we need emergency ant-gun legislation to close the pink painted muzzle device loophole because pink is so close to red so just as evil......then it happens that the pink pantied men finally get concerned because pink panties are the same color as the pink painted muzzle devices......so maybe their will be a law that forces them to convert to purple panties.....because the gun grabbers want to close the other pink consumer items not being banned loophole.

WOW!

I have massive headache!

Over-priced.. and with Kel-Tec I would wait a generation .. lol

I do like the idea though..

I was in Turners today and was SHOCKED to see a Styer Aug on the rack!! and it wasn't much more than the Kel-Tec

They HAD them in stock, and at $50 off their regular price ($1,049 - $50 = $999). All sold out for now, though I still saw one on display at West Covina.

I’ve always had a soft spot for KelTec, so I’m happy that I have one and that I paid under MSRP. We’ll see how well it shoots though, haha!!

Folks are getting $1,200 + $30 shipping for them on GunBroker currently: https://www.gunbroker.com/item/750078074

I picked one up. Firing pin spring is very twangy, but it hits hard and I couldn't imagine a light primer strike. It is lighter and more nimble than my Tavor. Looks to be a winner in my book. These aren't quite gen 1 since they regular platform has been around for a while and these are a year/two into production. Still, like most KelTec products, I bought this knowing it will probably lose value after KelTec undoubtedly releases the next generation.

I've always liked Kel-Tec for being willing to take risks and push the envelope.

Nice to see weird and non-boring stuff made sometimes.

Their current higher priced production items seem to run well. I remember the old days with the cheap pocket pistols which ran well AFTER some elbow grease
