RELOADING BENCH PICTURES

Here's mine. It's built on a BD Workmate 225. It's small and a little wobbly, but it suits my purposes.

I don't like having any unused components stored at or near the bench. I'm too paranoid about mixing components up.

All of my lead is in ingot form stored in an ammo can. I also tumble powder coat. So no expensive lubrisizer needed!

You guys have any recommendation for storing and organizing wise. Thanks.

pretty simple, spent about $100 on 2x4s and 15/32 plywood, which I just ripped and doubled up for the bench top. This also included enough 2x4's and a sheet of particle board for a suspended 8'x4' shelf overhead to put all the (crap) stuff that was where the bench is now. The left-most 4' was built last weekend for tumbling and case prep to keep any dust (hopefully) away from the presses. The fruit box is where my dog sits when he's down there with me.

case prep on the left end, presses in the middle, powder measure and brass storage on the right. Also ran electrical for (3) quad receptacles for all my stuff including bluetooth speakers, macbook and iPhone charger....gotta have Pandora and Youtube.

Hey there. I am new all around to the sport of shooting. I bought my first gun this last December and took it out to quickly realize right away that finding the ammo was a pain already. So within 3 weeks purchased the this lee pro 1000 press. Been shooting for 2 months now and have made about 500 of my own rounds with the original 250 rounds I purchased. I already had the bench,hooks and stuff like that but mostly was set up for my saltwater aquarium stuff so all I had to,do was get a couple containers etc. the plastic mat is a rubber mat from Home Depot that says it is a trunk liner. Works perfect for cleaning and wiping anything up. You can see powder spilled on it to the grain unlike plain plywood it could blend in a little. This will be a work in progress as I need shelves and what not so I will upload those pics some day.

I love this thread. My work in progress. It's a s/s table from a restaurant kitchen. Added longer legs and a shelf. The hard part was mounting the press without drilling holes.

All nice setups from above..here's mine. Been reloading for about 10 months now, been doing just 9's/45's and now getting into rifle loads (223 & 300blkout). My bench started out with just the press now I'm about to run out of room!! I just recently retired my lyman tumbler and got into SS wet tumbling. I could of did a DIY but instead just bought 2 harbor freight rock tumblers (for the amount of reloading that was good enough for me). Any questions or comments please fill free to PM. I got these from harbor freight. $10/ea. I might of went a little overboard with the labeler but at least I'll know where everything is at!!..hahaha. There's another organizer/storage that I bought from there's as well $15. I'll post in with the pic on another post. I'm posting this from my phone so attaching pics are pretty difficult, well at least doing multiple pics

Here's the other organizer. There's 4 trays/bins that you can pull out and a tool box built on top. Harbor freight $15.

This is how I used each tray/shelf. Different trays for different calibers. I had to cut the plastic down about 1/2" to be able to fit the shell plate so the lid will close, real easy to do with a fresh razor blade. I could of just used the hornady boxes that they came in but to me this is more organized. Well that's some ways of organizing your bench. Good luck and hope I gave some ideas to reloaders out there.

Thanks padgetto!..the "L" top is actually a cabinet, just had it open for the pic. As far as the jersey goes..Had no use for "Merriman" any more but still got love for the home team.

Negative. My equipment takes up half the bench and the other have is for working room. I like to have a lot of working room.

i actually got these from harbor freight but didnt know what to do with them. now you gave me the idea. i like to be organized too. I am the same way with the label maker.

@krazykj03..glad I was able to help! Nothing wrong with a little OCD and reloading. Hahahaha. Just another heads up (depending where you put the orangizers) to keep them from moving I bolted them down to my shelf with 2 nuts, bolts, and washers. That allows you to open and close the drawers without moving the whole thing.

Yea that come to me one day, I was pretty proud of it. I get good ideas sometimes. It was a tube that some harbor Frieght zip ties came in. It was the best thing about buying the zip ties as they didn't work for crap. A beef jerky container would work fine though.

There are sure some nice setups on this thread, so many great ideas.

And all hanging out. These are the white cabinets directly over the press. I still have some bulk brass and primers in another cabinet. I'm not completely happy with the renovation, but this thread inspired me to move some regular tools around and make room for dies and projectiles in the cabinets right above the press work area.

I'm debating which way should I set up my dillons, the 1st one is side by side but have no room to do anything there, I would just have to work on the regular work bench. And the 2nd on gives me more space to work on and the plan is to put a single stage press and put other case prepping and single stage powder powder measure. What do you guys think, thanks in advance.

To me..it looks like the opposite. Opt2 looks very crowded vs opt1. Opt1 looks like there's room to operate each press freely. Which ever YOU decide, make sure you're able to trouble shoot a problem without running into space issues or even switching over to a different caliber.
EX: auto indexing, handle, primer seater, shell holder just little stuff like that.

I have a hornady ap press so some of the stuff may not apply to you but you get the idea.

Also another idea is to build a bottom shelf underneath your table to store what ever case prep tool/s you have until you're ready to use, rather than sitting it out. That also depends on what you have or will be getting as well.

Just relocated my press..

This was where it was originally, now this bench is my work/case prep bench


This is my new bench I made. Decided to do a standing-reloading setup. My little garage is getting cramped as you can see I'm right next to the washer and the water heater. Don't worry I know to keep my powders/primers away from the heater (just in case). Sorry for the mess, still a work in progress.

Here's mine!!! Finally got it together. Excuses the mess, I just moved into my first house and trying to get everything situated.

Craftsman 6ft work bench with a 1.5" butcher block. This thing is sturdy and seems to not move when I put pressure on it.

Press is not mounted yet, still unsure how I want to mount.

@ evol ways..congrats on the new house! That bench top looks beefy!! First priority is setting up the bench, all others can wait. Hahahaha. Keep us updated on the final project.

Nice bench - it should be more than strong enough. I know my brother has a similar one and he ended up using a Dillong strong mount for his press in order to clear the door/drawers. An alternative would be to have a mounting plate attached to the top that would allow you to easily remove the press when you don't need it. I don't have the clearance issue with drawers or doors on my bench to worry about but I do have one of the mounting plates for my RCBS. I leave it attached most of the time but if I need the extra space, I can easily remove it. I think the mounting plate also helps with removing flex that you might otherwise get from the bench top - probably don't need it with yours though!
