Default I new this would happen.

I'm glad the owner locks his guns up.

Today Senator Greg Ball (Patterson – R, C, I) announced that a burglary has been reported on Davis Ave. in White Plains, New York that evidently ties into The Journal News gun maps. It is reported that the burglar used The Journal News’ interactive gun map to target a home included on the map. Luckily the gun was locked up and no one was hurt.

The article says other bad guys have used it..........which has nothing to do with this case, as you see.

Common sense and identifying what the criminals were after. Normal criminals don't single out a hard target in a neighborhood of easy ones, ignore easy scores in that home, like electronics and focus on a gun safe. They targetted the home and focused on the safe..how did they know there were guns in the home...

In preparation for someone douche canoe doing this in california i've turned the room my safe is in into a ghetto vault. Door have been replaced with solid core with steel wrap, this included replacing jams. Cameras throughout the room that will send me a text if they see any movement.

I refuse to just sit back and wait for some POS, he comes looking for my weapons when i'm not home and he'll be in for a world of headaches.

I, too had a feeling that's how things would play out after that article. Most non-gun owners I talked to about this thought the list would tell potential thieves which houses to stay away from. I figured that it would just make them targets. Now thieves know which houses to stake out and find routines to give them the best opportunity and most time to get in and make a big score. High risk/high reward.
