The MEC is for 12 gauge, I don't know if its complete as I have never reloaded shotgun ammo. I do want to learn though. I will bring it to the meet and greet so that more experienced shot shell loaders can look it over.

My 40th birthday is a few days before this, and we are going camping in the Sierras starting that weekend to celebrate.

I'm bummed I can't make it especially with how awesome it looks like its going to be with that sweet space and equipment/experience coming up from LA/OC plus all the local experts!

Thanks for pulling this together TP. I'll do my best to make the next one! And maybe by then I'll have some stuff I can bring. The guys on the Ammo/Reloading board here have given me a nice shopping list that I'll be working on slowly.

I would like to be in this as well.

Total newbie to reloading.

.223
.45acp

The only equipment I have is a Cabelas tumbler, if you guys think it would be worth it to bring, I can throw it in if anyone needs some brass cleaned while we are there.

Edit to add, I have my own Brass to use for .45 and .223 and a digital scale.

Are there any classes offered in NorCal?

When would the next class be? After the 30th.

At this time, no one has stepped up to start a chapter in your area. If you want to be the one to do it, we can help you!

I hope to have a couple of LA County classes going within the next 2-6 weeks or so in, at least, two different locations.

I just bought my first kit, I dont have any supplies or more importantly, experience and space.
Don't think I would be the one to run the class.

Is it run out of a store/shop that is donated for a day or so, or is it out of someones garage/home?

Can you let me know when the next classes would be, if you have set dates?
I wouldnt be able to make it down there on such short notice.

Tactical:

I just did an inventory, while I am donating 1k of primers, I am switching them to LPPs from LRPs, if that is okay? I am assuming lots of people will want to reload .45 ACP? I have far fewer LRPs than I thought and I am waiting on Powder Valley to deliver another couple of boxes. Also, I have no problem reloading fewer cartridges as CSA alludes to. My hope is to walk away from this class with the knowledge and skills to setup my own bench and begin reloading so the skills are far more important to me than round count.

I will bring my press and hopefully someone can help me set it up (die setup and how to best dial in the Classic Turret?) and I am glad to let anyone who is in the class use it in the class as well, one more press may be helpful?

Looking forward to it.

I'm going to try to attend. A lot depends on whether my sons are playing baseball and/or I go to the Appleseed that weekend. I know, real helpful huh?

I've been reloading going on 20 years. I'd love to help out. I can bring two single stage presses (I'll try and bring the dillon square deal if possible), 30-06 (and 6.5x55 if anyone wanted) dies, and I would be willing to bring 100 primers for LPP, SPP, LRP, and SMPP. Plus I have some powder as well. (I can spare some bullseye, no 5, blue dot, and imr4895). And I could bring some lead bullets for 45,9,38/357.

Unfortunately my handgun calibers are on the dillon. But rifle is ok. I can also bring a scale and other assorted tools.

Again it all depends on my schedule. Since I'm not starting out I would really like to just help out and get others rolling.

Hope that didn't make me sound like a know it all. I'll have a better idea of if I can make it in a few more days.

I will add, if you have your own die set (shell holders too) for the caliber you want to reload it will be the most benificial to bring sice we do not have unlimited sets to use.

Count me in. I've got components, hardware and experience available. Would like to get in on the ground floor of this little social club, especially if it's going to be happening in Camarillo.

All we need is somebody to commit to 2000 and it's a go! 2000 is under $210 - and that's a deal!

Thanks to the Organizer, instructors and all calgunners that make this workshop possible. I learned a lot for this workshop and Big Bronco is a great instructor.

Looking forward to see the next class, I will be dropping by to watch and learn more and maybe used/rent club's reloaders to make my pistol ammo.

Those calgunners in LA/VC and nearby city must attend this workshop.

BTW, The food is excellent, I had a big lunch.....see you in the next workshop. I will be there watch and learn and not part of the class to give way for other student.

I want to give a big thank you to all the instructors and helpers, such a valuable class and learning experience!

And a huge thanks to Blitz for hosting us.

I had a great time and feel much more confident in my abilities and can't wait for the next one.

The instruction was top notch, the Bacon was delicious, and the camaraderie of fellow Calgunners and reloading enthusiasts was great.

BigBronco your passion for reloading and 2A rights is Amazing and Inspiring.

I have to say, last Sunday's class turned out awesome!

I knew with the people involved that it would be a good one, especially the instructors that were there, but being our first go at it I thought we might run into a few hurdles, but you know - I don't think we did! The class really came off without a hitch!

I have to give props to everybody involved. Instructors, Students, volunteers, everybody did a GREAT job! I know for a fact that there was a TON of work put into the planning and getting ready for the class and I think it really showed in how smooth everything went.

We also got quite a few letters to our lovely Legislature signed and dated and will be mailing them out soon. I don't have an exact count yet, but will this coming weekend and will get them in the mail with a cover letter to all involved. Thank you to all who took the time to sign them! We all have to do our part if we want to keep our guns.

Now being a not-for-profit gig, we were lucky enough to get quite a few donations of components, money and even BigBronco's "Monster Reloading Bench" but if we are to continue to give these classes and teach this great "art" or reloading, we'll need more. Lot's more.

With the money that was taken in this past Sunday and the money that was donated before the class, we seem to be pretty good on components, but it's presses and other equipment we are going to have trouble getting. Unfortunately the money that was collected covers the day, food, and components - but not much else.

So I'm asking if anybody has anything at all, old presses, dies, powder measures - ANYTHING, that they would be good enough to donate to the cause, we promise to put it to good use and only use it for teaching these classes. This is afterall non-profit, nobody makes a single penny on these classes and nobody will. It's all run on donations and the fees collected at the class.

Any donations are more than welcome and will be more than appreciated!

Please think for a moment or look over your reloading area and if there is anything at all you could be kind enough to donate, please PM me or TacticalPlinker (the big cheese in the Ventura Chapter) and we will make arrangements to pick it up or the like.

And again, a big thank you to all who participated and all who volunteered, you all made the day well worth doing

sounds like it was a good time. hopefully the next one is on a day I can actually get to, I was bummed to miss out. I don't have anything to donate as I just now got my equipment. I haven't even loaded a round yet. I've only deprimed and sized on the press so far. still on the hunt for powders and primers. but if I'm able to make any if the classes, I have no problem bringing my CoAx, dies, priming tool, etc just to take the load off of the class hardware. even if I can't make it, maybe I can arrange with somebody before hand to meet and you guys can use it for the day anyways, we'll see.

There will be more - hopefully LOTS more

Maybe the class could even change weekdays on certain months to accomodate people that can't make it Sunday's. Something to think about.

And thanks VERY much for your offer of equipment use, we just might take you up on that, although we'd rather have you there in person so you can use it and learn like everybody else is. The classes are really super informative, even if you already reload.

And everybody understands that not everybody can donate equipment or money, but we all have something we can give - time, effort, phone calls, letters to our reps, there is always something we can all give. And combined with the rest of us, we make a nice loud bunch for our reps to hear

Thanks again for the offer, we really do hope to see you there next time!
