Paid off another credit card, 3 months earlier than expected...

Debt-free is my goal, to stack everything deeper especially for retirement, and a free-state eventually. Even a gas-station jobs in a free state, debt-free would be better than living in Commiefornia... unless something changes, but it does not appear it can...

If the ammo background check is ruled unlawful, I MIGHT stay, but probably not...

Picked up an extra propane stove today. Big 5 has this one on sale through 5/12 down from $80 to $50. Seems well built enough and it has a broiler in the middle. The burners have igniters but the broiler does not.

My apartment stove/oven is a 220v. I've got a 2-burner electric that I can run off the generator, a Coleman Triton in the RV out front, but this is a nice addition to cook at home with propane in the event of a power outage.

I mapped out all the water locations near my house (Golden Gate park in San Francisco) and gave instructions to my wife and kids to fill up containers and empty fish tanks from them as soon as possible if the city's water system is out after an earthquake. I figure we have enough plastic cans and other containers to store an extra 100 gallons or so on top of the water I already have in water containers. And also to be early about it to beat the crowd

Pond/lake water will certainly be non-potable but I have enough filters, chemicals, and other things on hand to purify thousands of gallons.

Not a bad idea but I'm not sure its wise to send your wife and kids out into the chaos of post major earthquake San Francisco.

Cool

Put the finishing touches on my battle belt & chest rig.

Mmmmm... free state, 30 round GOODNESS...

Yep - 1911 Dinosaur here. That's an EssTac quadrunner pouch.

I'm keeping the setup as light as possible (light's on the rifle, knife's in the pocket, hydration's in a 32oz. Gatorade, etc.), as I'm stuck in the urban cessmaze, and it's designed for close-to-home work. BoB's take care of the big stuff.

And yes, there's 2 CAT's on the rig, because anything necessary and WORTH having, is worth having two of! I'd hate for the necessary CAT to be OUT of reach, because it's opposite the arm that's falling off!!! So there's one on each side.

Yep - the mish-mash of colors is intentional. Read up on J.W. Rawles thoughts on such matters.

Certainly true but they'd only go out alone if I was incapacitated/dead. Also the reason I mentioned getting water sooner than later is that panic will increase the longer people are without necessities. So making a 1 mile run to get extra water within the first couple of days hopefully shouldn't be too bad. We live in a decent area so I give it a few days before people begin to realize that help isn't right around the corner and decide that they need to "share" what others have.
