Default Don't buy aim sports tactical lights or the walmart offering they suck

I bought an aim sports branded tac light for my ppq. Well, I mounted it on the pistol and it was awesome for the first 20 switches from on to off. Well, that's about it... It won't switch on even though you can hear the toggle of the switch on the light. If you screw the threads out of the emitter head to about 90% it works but is less that two rotations from springing off the emitter.. :-(

AIM Sports has a lifetime warranty on most of their products, I would contact them and see what they can do for you.

Wow
Only thing I buy at Walmart is ammo when they have some and gun cleaner ... And will never buy a tac light from there. And for what you spent on your light u could have put that towards a decent streamlight tlr 1 For your ppq

I've only made 2 types of shooting-related purchases at Walmart; ammo and reactive sticky targets...and the sticky targets were overpriced compared to what is normally sold on Amazon.

You're brave for buying that light.

I've read similar complaints about the Nebo HP190 light. However, one of my local WWs had them on sale for $20 so I took a chance. So far, so good but I have yet to shoot with the light attached.

Walmart's generally good about returns. I'd take it back.

Imagine the stress put on the light when attached to a recoiling gun.

3am, you hear a crash downstairs. You need to get down the hallway to grab your kids to bring them in your bedroom with your wife while you wait for the police to arrive. Luckily you saved $60 buying a cheap Chinese light that just might work. And if it doesn't work you can just bring it back to Wal-Mart; that's reassuring.

You guys gotta get your priorities straight. Save a few bucks buying generic dryer sheets or using Groupon to eat out. Not for weapon mounted lights needed for family emergencies.

I think most of the accessories at walmart are are made for air soft.
You might be able to get away with non-recoil 22lr rifles.

I keep wanting to buy a TLR-3, but I never have the cash at the time. The walmart light I bought right before the academy seemed alright. I bought it because it was made out of anodized aluminum and sported a CREE LED. It was like 220 lumens!
I was like well, I can roll the dice. It was like 39.99..

It wouldn't flick on and off properly and then nothing at all. I think I got one solid day of use out of it..

Light #2 Bought it yesterday. Just brought it home. Flicked it on and off a few times. Attached it a few times. Checked the battery because it was having a hard time staying on. Changed the battery. Nothing. Kept messing with it and it got worse. Then I got frustrated and took it apart. Nothing. I was able to start to screw on the cap and it would light up, but at a fraction of the brightness. Gave up on the damn thing.

I hope many read the story and learn from my mistake....s

My favorite part of the story is when the OP doesn't heed his own advice and buys another.

$40 for walmart light? You can get a surefire or streamfire for $60 on amazon.

I'm sure you've never rolled the dice two times??

*Anyway, I had a gift card and there was nothing there I needed/wanted, so it was there and I got it.

By the way, if you read the first post you would have noticed that I got two different branded lights at two different stores..

A streamlight TLR-3 can be had for not much more. Not sure why anybody would by a "Aim Sport" or a "Nebo"
