Default You ever get in a reloading zone?

Where you set out to load 50 hand loads....but lose track of time cause its relaxin and wind up with 300 .308 rounds with exact measurments..... I did that this morning lol...I swear its like a trance, no distractions, just peace and bullets

Sort of, but my night didn't end up as productive as yours

Loaded 100 .223 and after the 100th round I decided that the charges seemed a little light, so I rechecked the zero on my scale...it had somehow moved 6 grains (!). I spent the next hour pulling a hundred projectiles and starting over.

Yep - sure do.
Then I'll see something about AB 962 and get pissed off again.

I made it a habit to re-check my scale for "zero" and powder dispenser dropping correct powder amount.

Heck welcome to the club of "Oops!" Most of us have experienced one form or another, large or small. The main thing is we caught it before the 'firing pin slamed on the primer" of our proudly produced round.

Definitely been in the "reloading zone". Meant to go into the reloading room for a few boxes of ammo. Just over three hours later, I've boxed up my twentieth box of 50 rounds. My reloading for that month was done in that period of time. :-)

It also can happen when casting, too. Start out intending to bang out maybe 500 boolits. A few hours later, you're staring at over 3,000.

Reloading is therapy and a good way to relax for me. If I get off early enough I'll cast a big batch 200 LSWC, have dinner, than go back out and run them through the lube/sizer and load them up.

What kind of powder are you using that 6 extra grains still fits in the case? H322 @ 22.5 grs almost fill the case. 2 more grains and it would spill out.

Don't know that I've ever been in a "zone". I always have to pause for something. I think I need to get more primer tubes, and that case feeder first.

Oh yes...

Got into one tonight...

Wife: "Sweetie, why dont you go out and reload a little?"
Me: "Shoot, dont have to ask me twice babe."

Couple hours later.... I come waltzing back in with a smile on my face

Wife: "done already babe?"
Me: "Babe I was in the ZONE! I got so much done!!!!"

I deprimed 300 rounds of 223 and resized them, deprimed about 200 .40

AND

Started painting my ar receivers

Life is good right now...

Justin

It was H322. I was 6 grains too short (starting with 21gr, I was only loading 15).

You know, that's actually true. I've gone to the reloading room after work feeling a bit tense, and after an hour or two, I'm much more relaxed.
