CZ Shadow Single Action if you can SSE one. CZ 75 SA if you can't.

One of the CZ variants gets my vote based on your budget and requirements. The CZ-75b was the next on my own list, had I not been able to purchase a Walther PPQ.

As others have said, get to a range and rent as many as you can. You may be surprised as to what you like or not. I now know I don't care for Glock, but they still make a good gun.

Anybody know of a range that has CZ's and/or Hi Powers? I live in Corona but a trip into the OC would not be out of the question to handle one of these beauties.

I would suggest you consider the SP2022, its DA/SA and has Sig quality at an affordable price. If sticking to the list, I would say the 226 or the Beretta. Also highly recommend at least test feeling them if you cant shoot them. Don't have experience with the CZ or the Browning, so I cannot speak for them, and Glocks never fit me personally, but I hear they are great guns.

CZ p-01 is the Glock of the hammer fired world.

G19, P-01,xd9,m&p9,Hk,fn, ect. are all great firearms for HD/ccw. I know you mentioned the BHP, but I would only trust that handgun for the range. That just my opinion.

The range is the only world I am trying to conquer with it.

The BHP is a great gun, but like other have stated, the CZ75 is a great handgun that will fill multiple rolls. HD/ccw/Range. If you are going to shoot a lot of paper the sp-01 is your best bet. All steel, proven design, reliable, durable, the most accurate handgun I ever shot, da/sa, they just work. I love glocks cuz they are striker fired. But my all time fav hammer fired handgun is the CZ p-01. It's the smaller version of the sp-01. It's NATO approved and built like a tank, it would be that gun you pass down to your son, and he will do the same, for generations. Nothing wrong with passing down a plastic glock, just the cz will become an heirloom, you know, special.

Go with CZ if you don't feel like second guessing you choice. Like I said before the Cz is the Glock of the hammer fired world no dout. Good luck

CZ 75 SP01 would be the ticket. Only problem is gun stores are completely out of stock. I've seen a couple of used ones in the marketplace but they were asking $1600 and were serious about the price. For that price you can get a Sig X5 Competition or a S&W PC 952. Just wait till the madness is over and CZ's come back to normal prices.

The BHP trigger is way better than the CZs. It's the best trigger out of any of the OP's original list, besides a 9mm 1911.

CZs aren't exactly known for their triggers, especially out of the box.

(Once again, try them all before buying, pick the one that you like best.)

It's a bit far for you but Insight in Artesia has a CZ 75B.
