Put together a car emergency kit this past year. This is the knife I put in it. I wanted something like a classic military Ka-Bar. This is an Ontario Air Force Survival Knife:

I just picked up a couple of these... I really like the feel and balance with a made in USA product using a proven steel (420HC stainless) . I have always been a Buck fan ever since Boy Scouts.

Yes it was included. I like the sheath almost as much as the knife. Nice clean functional work.

Nice Presidios. I am a fan of the original Presidio scales on top... I have a few of those with different blade styles.

The Fat Lady 3 to complete the trifecta, although this only marks the halfway point in the Fat Lady project.

Oh, I know all about California, thanks! Got <2" blades if I ever EDC, although I think that length is more of a liability then an asset.

I'm a reformed Knife-A-Holic... it has been a while since I bought a knife for myself, though I have given some away, and bought a few as gifts. This Busse is tempting though. I'm a sucker for 7" blades... this and the Spyderco brown Yojimbo2 in S90V are tempting, but I'll get through it, hahah. Maybe someone out there can buy these and I'll get to see some pics posted.

Default Benchmade 710

It's a replacement for the one i lost about six years ago. A bit gaudy but I like the M390 steel.

Nice - how's the grind on it? I got one and it's...kinda off.

I just got a Proper yesterday - brown handle - really liking that one.

I looked up Proper, found nothing... then searched for Benchmade Proper... whoah. Didn't know they came out with a slipjoint. Interesting. I have a pretty good GEC collection. I think S30V would be nice on a traditional. How's the action? Half-stop?

Yeah, half-stop, or I'd have lost a digit by now. Action is fairly stiff but I think it needs to be. Blade is just slightly off-center which is BM's new policy apparently.

I carry various Presidio's occasionally and sometimes a Contego 810BK, but usually stick to ZT and Spyderco. I want to start carrying my GEC Farm and Fields more. I love the F&F's with canvas micarta handles, especially natural brown and the green.

The grind is good. I love the G10 scales more on this knife than my first 710 (which is stupidly left on my bumper and drove off - someone got a really nice knife). Not totally sold on the blue G10 but it's growing on me.

The blade is a bit off center which has been my experience going back to my CQC7 in the 90s with Benchmade.

I really like the Proper. Was looking at getting one as a nice low key looking pocket knife.

Sort of, but it looks to me like the Ruger has a bit more belly to it. I'll know better once it arrives.
