Recoil Pad
I have a Ruger #3 that someone cut the stock to shorten the length of pull.
I want to install a recoil pad, but the butt measures only 4"x 1 1/2". Can a pad be ground down that small? Thanks for your help. OG |

Swifty...I appreciate your suggestions. The problem is, Pachmayr doesn't say how much you can grind 'em down.
They tell how big the pad is to start, but not how much can be taken off without it coming apart. OG |

The Limbsaver grind-to-fit pads come with a template in the package with the minimum grind size.
Look at page 6 here: http://www.farrisbrothers.com/docs/Limbsaver.pdf
