Addax,

I'd like to echo SoKenfused regarding Sureshot.

You (Addax) have been superb on the communication front. Sureshot has been ... mysterious. Enigmatic. No communication beyond the initial phone call.

Since you are aware of the situation I'm anticipating a good outcome. The lowers look great and if Sureshot can match that for my custom engraving I'll be ecstatic.

Just brought my lowers home today. They're absolutely beautiful especially the design of the logo. Pictures certainly do it no justice. I couldn't be more happier! And just to echo what everyone else has, thank you Kaligaran and Addax for one of the most pain-free and better organized group buys I've ever been a part of. Lastly, I heard and read that there may be a group buy for uppers. Let me know if rumor becomes reality. I'd be in for one.

Well, got an email just before noon that my LPK from PSA has just gotten delivered, picked up my lowers after work, plus a couple more .22LR mags (have 5 now). And got busy building when I got home.

Still need to get a trigger guard, and the Magpul MBUS sights won't work, the railed gas black is not upper height, and the spacer I bought raises the front sight too high. So I need to find a set of sights that will work with the railed "gas block." And a cheap reflex or red dot optic.. Other than that, she's good to go!

Thanks to kaligaran and Addax Tactical for getting this together! Now... onto getting parts for the other lower.. .50 Beowulf build!

I finally got a chance to build up one of my lowers last night. Here's a couple pics.

This is my first non-RAW. BBs and 10 round mags are gonna suck, but I'm hoping the CGF logo will help spread the word.

Thank you Addax, Kaligran, and of course the CalGuns Foundation.

Finally got a chance to start the DROS on my 3 Addax/Calguns lowers. They look great!

Thanks to EVERYONE who worked to put this together - it is awesome! Special thanks Metal Dog Tactical in San Jose for stepping up and giving a great deal on the transfer, for being quick to notify me they had arrived (only notification I received BTW), and for a fast and efficient DROS. I will certainly buy some parts or other gear from them on pick-up day.

BTW - I got lucky and scored serial number 556!

Hello Everyone,

Addax Tactical and the Calguns Foundation would like to express our THANKS to all of the members who participated in this special group buy that was set up to help support the Calguns Foundation, who is working hard to preserve our 2nd Amendment Rights.

The Addax/CGF lower receiver is a limited run of the Addax Tactical model AT15 Mil-Spec. AR15 lower receivers that has a custom designed CGF logo that is precision laser engraved onto the lower receiver.

For each Addax/CGF lower receiver sold a $10.00 donation was collected, and this is being donated to the CGF.

271 Lower Receivers were sold during the Group Buy raising $2710.00 in donations.

Addax Tactical is pitching in an additional $290.00 to make the total donation amount to the CGF $3,000.00.

In addition to this, Addax Tactical is donating one of the Addax/CGF group buy lowers to the CGF, which will be built into a special AR15 Rifle by Addax Tactical to help raise additional funds for the CGF (more information about this rifle will be presented soon).

CGF has been fundamental as a grassroots organization to help fight and preserve our 2nd Amendment rights in California and Addax Tactical is proud to continue to support this organization.

We would like to recognize and thank the following Calguns.net forum members who participated in the Addax/CGF Lower Receiver Group Buy, and helped make this donation a reality (listed in no particular order):

Sincerely,

The Addax Tactical Team:

Thanks. This was my second build so it is still new/exciting to piece it all together. I convinced my cousins/sister/dad/mom to buy lowers (although they missed this group buy), so I went through and took pictures of the various steps for them to follow instead of one of the many online resources. More personalized. Plus photography is another hobby of mine, so it is a win/win to combine my interests.

Here are a few of the in progress build pictures. I'll eventually make an album with all of them.

Thumbnails, click for larger version

Everything was still oily, and I manged to get anti-sieze everywhere. But overall a successful build.

I believe that's the anti-sieze he was speaking of.

This has got to be the hardest way to install the bolt catch roll pin...

Yep, it is the anti-seize. A little bit goes a long way

bolt catch roll pin is the most annoying part for me to install. My last lower I tried the vice grip method, but it ended up slipping and messing up the finish

this time I tried the brass-hammer-while-holding-it-with-needle-nose-pliers method. With the masking I manged to get it in without permanently marring anything

Addax,

Thank you for your assistance. I have since received a phone call and subsequent email from Mr. Michael Leland of the Sales and Support Team of Sureshot Precision Marking. A little bit of luck (and communications) and we should have everything ready to go and delivered to Sureshot later today. Once again thank you for your assistance. The pics being posted show what look like a high quality nicely done receiver. I can't wait to get mine.

All these photos of your builds are getting me excited! Nice work ladies and gentlemen!

I am going to pick my lower up tomorrow. Aside from a LPK, I have no other parts for this build yet. But I guess that is ok since the rifle is being built for my grandson and he's only 5 months old.

It gives a new meaning to long term project...

I always install the roll pin from the rear to the front, opposite the direction you have pictured. More room to get it aligned correctly, and I made my own starter punch, has a hole drilled in the end of the punch to slip the roll pin into. I drive it in as close as I can with the starter, and finish the last 1/8" or so with a roll pin punch (small nipple on the end that fits into the roll pin). At this point, I have assembled 5 lowers for myself, 2 for friends, and all of hem have had varying fits for the roll pins. There were a couple I swear I was going to have to get out the air hammer to get them in place.. lol The first lower I built I used the vice grip method, I was lucky and they didn't slip.. that experience was the reason I made/bought the tools I use now.

Picked up my lowers today from Brett at Ironworks Tactical in Corona today. Brett is a standup guy and I'll definitely be looking into one of Brett's Infamous 6.8 uppers.

A great thank you goes out to Addax Tactical for making this happen despite the challenges they faced. Another thank you to Kaligaran for helping organize this and maintain the anxious rowdy Calgunners through the whole process.

Also, a special thank you to Brett once again at Ironworks Tactical. He went above and beyond with nothing asked for in return to a total stranger to help me participate in this group by. Hes a friendly trustworthy guy who's very experienced and knowledgeable and a true asset to the community.

Here's my build just completed this evening. Just need some optics. Sorry about the crappy Ipad picture but I just wanted to share my build!

I did my own little fondle session last night. The lower is a beauty!

I too want to say thanks to all the folks involved with this. Addax went above and beyond with this deal AND made a sizable donation to the CGF! Way to go Addax!!! A special thanks goes out to Kaligran for coordinating the whole deal and Lale @ Addax for working with me through a problem with the bank issued check.

This lower is going to make a little boy very happy someday(as soon as he is big enough to hold a rifle up)...

Just started my DROS today. The lowers look amazing. Thought they looked great in the pictures, but even better in person.

Special thanks to Metal Dog Tactical for offering a discounted transfer fee for this group buy. Really nice guys in there, would definitely recommend.

Sincerely,

The Addax Tactical Team:
Chris, Lale, Kyle, Justin, and Cynthia.
