Already a life member, but I'd give more for the next level (endowment). Any programs for that? The CFO (chief family officer) gets a veto on it so it needs to be below her fiscal radar ("You gave the NRA what?!?!?") if you get my drift.

There was a special membership upgrade deal on December 10, 2012, when I upgraded my Patron membership to Benefactor membership for $350. I had call and ask about the deal on the telephone. I do not know if that deal is still valid.

Post Life Membership gifts

I used the $300 offer to give N.R.A. Life memberships to four close relatives earlier in December. Even though it is a lot of money, that sort of deal is not available very often.

I'd definitely like to take advantage of this next year come tax time. I'm already an NRA member and have been for a few years, but I'd like to do more.

Is there anyway to pay a particular amount per month or until I otherwise pay off "the balance", then my membership will be upgraded? Or will the entire $300 be due up front?

Pretty sure you have to pay all up front

Yep, there is an easy pay program, but it is the full 1000$, also you get no credit for anything you have paid in when doing this deal. It is 300$ lump sum.

Looks like it has changed and there is no need to pay me first on this. You directly pay the NRA.

1. Sign up in the SAF. Save the confirmation page or if you pay them with PayPal send me the receipt. Send that info to me in an email. SAF is the Second Amendment Foundation www.saf.org in the comments at the page where you pay them, put 'recruited by 36579mcml911r'

2. Send me an email to tensawmac@aol.com with the receipt/confirmation. I will give you my info, you call the NRA. The SAF thing is my doing. Lets me know you are serious, besides its a good cause, and as cheap as 15$.

What if I'm a life-level SAF member (signed up a couple weeks ago), got my membership pack, but seem to have no email from them as confirmation?

Hoping to take advantage of this. Signed up as a life member to SAF last Wed, but I think the holidays have thrown a monkey wrench into getting any response back from them. I see my cc has been charged finally, so hopefully I can get a confirmation back by mid-week.

Just signed up as a Life Member thanks to Robert! The new process is very straightforward - I got everything done today (SAF membership, email from Robert and paid for NRA life membership).

You can cancel the pay as you go (you'll forfeit the money you've already paid) and do the $300 life deal.

I took a while for me to get my membership pack, maybe 3 or 4 weeks. I never received any email confirmation from them.

Going thru Robert, will I have to pay the whole $300 at once??

I did get an email from SAF, but it took several days and they apologized--they're a bit overwhelmed in the membership department and they're putting some new policies in place to better communicate (if I remember the gist of their email correctly).

Only $300 for a lifetime membership? That's like 50 rounds of 5.56 these days. I'll save my money

As a side note, been doing it at different places. I know a month ago it was 225 here and 360 something all combined. Now all total it has to be well over 500

I can say between the shooting and before New Years, I sponsored 74. Most from here. It hasn't slowed down a bit either.

Last time I called them I asked if they would send me a hat. The lady laughed and directed me to the online NRA store. Good answer. I chuckled myself. Oh well, the fight goes on....
