They made it so quick and easy, in and out in under 3 minutes...I did want to chat, but have sick kids I had to het back to.

I was hoping to grab a hold of some grips some how, but it wasn't happening...anybody in sd gonna be doing a bp or private instructions? Need a way to finish this if the machine shop isn't up soon.

I'm planning on waiting for the shop. Optimistic that it'll be back shortly. I could use the help/instruction as well, though.

Me an another Calgunner got there pretty early. Met up with fiferronald and got some business taken care of.

Met Mike (Or was it Jeremy?) (AR-Tuma), nice guy, awesome beard. Explained pretty well what the hold up with the grips were. (As an FYI for the rest of the group buyers, it should still be a few weeks away, an exact time wasn't available). The grips will be shipped by gb organizer extraordiaire fiferronald.

I opted for uncoated steel, there's a slight patina, but it should go away with a cleaning/polishing step after I go through the machining process. All my frame parts are black coated/blued in some way, so I'm not sure if I'm just gonna go for a mixed n matched look or if I'm gonna duracoat post-machining.

Hopefully if anyone had any worries about this group buy, this helps assuage them (till they get their hunks of steel in their hands).

(Also, check the ares website for build party info, should be up in a few weeks. It seems they ran into a few electrical setbacks when setting up their machine shop).

Thanks for the great group buy and all you time and hard work along with Ares. As I was driving up I'm thinking what a cluster F%$K this is going to be.

As I walked up about 1 PM no one was in line Myself and another calgunner walked into the shop. One guy that worked at Ares with the killer beard told just they would help us in a few.

Walked in and out with parts in a few minutes.

Thanks again for all the hard work by fiferronald and Ares

Beside getting a cool picture what is the point of un-wraping them only to re-wrap them to ship??
