Jack have you used the Dogleg before? Did it hold zero for you?

It held zero for me but I was shooting my AK74 with the Bulgarian 74 type brake on the rifle so the thing barely had any recoil. It shot softer than an AR.

When are you getting the Gen II dog leg in stock? I see you only have the one with the leaf sight.

Here is how the prototype performed!
I was able to get a good group at 400 and maintain center mass out to 500!
At 1x it was fast and could CQB with the best of them. Most likely late December.

I have the ACSS 1-6x scope. I want to mount it on my Saiga .308, what would you recommend?
Something like this:
http://texasweaponsystems.com/id1.html
Or getting a mount for my scope rail?
The scope works fantastic, by the way, I have used it on my AR15s, I love it.

Yes anything that gets you low and holds 0. FYI the 5mph wind dots become roughly 10 mph wind with .308
Also read the directions some people assume that it only works with a 5 mph wind. If its ten double the hold 3 hold half way and so on.

Thanks Dmitri for the updates on this, I have been following it. I know I saw somewhere a place to sign up to be notified when this becomes available but I can't seem to find it anywhere, can you please post it again? I know this is the scope I want

Where do you guys go to shoot out to 500/600 yards with a 300AAC or 7.62x39mm?

Im a regular at Sac Valley and Swiss rifle club (Gonzales) out to 500 meters but cannot seem to find anyone willing to try longer distances and wind doping with these calibers.

Coalinga?

If you go this route can you post some pics. I would like to know if that back up iron sight fits under the scope.

Its a tough little scope! Have been shooting it with .308 and it has never lost zero! Only thing is when you get it be sure to take base screws out and use blue lock tight.

Now let me ask you guys do you want a 7.62x39 version in the 2.5 or 4?

Will the 7.62x39 be out for x-mas? It is the only thing I have asked Santa for. Santa (my wife) has so far been annoyed the only thing on my list cannot be purchased at this time...

Since 6 is not an option to match the 556...then I am hoping for a 4. Been a long time since I was so excited about a new toy!

Do you mean straight 6? The first AK scope will be a 1-6

Here is the 4 x prism minus the red dot and sight height will be as low as possible for an AK.

Thanks for the follow-up! I have been checking this thread and was starting to worry. You just guaranteed that I will not settle for an inferior Russian optic and will be eagerly waiting with money in hand to purchase as soon as it is offered.

Will it be offered with the option of mount/rings as you do with the .223/5.56 5.45x39 .308 version?

I have the 3rd Gen UTG mount that I picked up really cheap, and have considered the MI mount.

I will wait on any purchase to send all my $ your way, I just want to be prepared.

Thanks again Dimitri for taking the time, you have a repeat customer patiently waiting now.

I read through the thread and have one question that wasn't answered: the 1-6x 7.62x39 scope, is it a FFP or SFP? If the latter, which power setting is the reticule calibrated for?

Saiga 308 with a gen2 TWS rail and TA33 ACOG on ADM mount has held zero over ~1000 rounds, including removal and reinstall of the optic a bunch of times. This is with a big muzzle brake on a 16" barrel... haven't tried it without a brake.

My only concern is whether it will keep zero with a heavier optic, as I haven't tried one yet. The TA33/ADM is very light. What's the 1-6x weigh in at, minus mounts?

Something like this:

The scope works fantastic, by the way, I have used it on my AR15s, I love it.
I like the TWS rail, but something to consider on the Saiga 308: early gen2 TWS rails had an S308 specific model that uses a different recoil rod. Later gen2 TWS rails dropped the S308 model; as a result, you'll have to put a buffer pad on the recoil post, transplant the spacer bracket from your existing recoil post, or fabricate a spacer. Without the spacer or buffer pad, the BCG can cycle back and jump the rails.

Not sure on the mount options Marshall would know best.
UTG was used in testing and so was MI

On a .308 I would recommend the fixed UTG rail that is bolted on. I have never tested the TWS so I can't say.

Its a SFP and BDC is on at 6X at other x your good out to 200 and 300 for center mass shots.

I'm not Jack, but for what its worth, I run a TWS Dogleg on my AKS-762 with an EOTech 512 sitting on it and it holds zero.

This ACSS scope looks very interesting to me Dimitri...are we going to see it before Christmas?

Man I hope so but don't know late Dec is what the ETA is. I can tell you at 1-3x its as fast as any dot and at 6x the BDC is dead on. We will be releasing video of me testing it getting hit after hit at 400 yards. I believe its 10-10 then CQB double taps and so on. This thing really is a game changer for the AK or any 7.62x39!
I would love to see it as FFP at some point.
The glass is good to ok similar to our 1-6 currently out for 5.56/5.45/.308. The scope is well made with short eye relief. The reticle is really above and beyond anything thats come out before! The BDC/Autorange correlated with wind hold and leads allows you to range and engage targets faster and more accurately then ever before. Everything on the reticle serves a purpose yet remaining clean.

I'm interested in one of these...

Also, isn't there one coming out as a dedicated .308 (7.62 NATO) version?

Yes I have been testing the prototype. The standard 1-6x ACSS matches up very well with .308
We are making a .308/.223 version of the 4-14.
Set for heavier .308 and heavier .223 rounds. 75-77 gr
