I think it's BS, started a DROS on 11/26. They knew there was issues and took my money and firearm, knowing the doors would be shut soon ( maybe even later that day). Even if this all works out, I will not shop there again.

hope all is ok with VA. cuz i put down quite a large amount of dough for HK45CT by SSE. receipt date said 6 weeks. it's been over 8 months

Even when i did my 1st SSE (HKP30). they sent me a (P30S), which was fine, but they had never called to tell me it was in. Had to make the call to check myself.

i guess SSE had them overflowed with work. Anyway, hope i get that HK45CT sooooooooooooon

Just at VA. Outside gate open but store still not open. Walls are empty. But I did see a guy talking with a store employee inside; probably picking up his in jail stuffs.

I was there tonight. This doesn't look very good. That might have been me that you saw. What happens if all the SSE guns they sold weren't done properly. What happens when a store goes through a DOJ audit.

I'm very, very concerned. I didn't realize the store was under new ownership.

The lack of inventory due to supplier speculation is BS. I'm not denying that inventory is tough to get, buy shops are still getting inventory. I've been gun shopping in the last 30 days and I'm still able to find product on shelves.

VA was active on the facebook.com with last posting on Nov 22nd and it sounded upbeat. What a week makes a difference, huh?

What is happening? Can't be just an audit?
Didn't know they where closing shop at the time to fill the Christmas list for toys.
This was one of my favorite shop. I may not be the biggest customer, but they just lost my business.
Any suggestion of shops that does SSE close by.

Tracy Rifle & Pistol if you don't mind the drive, or MPArms (limited selection... not a retail shop) are the two that I know of locally with very reasonable price even for SSE as long as they have the part for the model you are looking for.

I'm going to limit my statement: "It doesn't look good". I'm also concerned about potential legal liability.

Metal dog tactical can do SSE's(and they aren't that far away either), I don't think they have quite the variety that VA was able to do yet, but I'm sure if customers show up asking for more than a few models they'll start getting more parts to do 'em(it'd be silly if they didn't).

Are you the one inside the store talking with the employee? If so how did you get in? Did they tell you what was going on with the no communication to people?

So what happens if they are done for good and people still have guns in jail/waiting to be picked up with them? I'd imagine people with deposits down on guns would have to choose legal means, but a gun that has been dros'd is now that persons property despite the mandated wait period. What a crappy situation for all involved. It would behoove the owners to make contact with their customers to save face, I know I would never buy a gun from them after reading this.

Seeing all these people putting down big money and waiting for months or still waiting, I wonder if some form of a Ponzi scheme took a life of its own and finally caught up to them.
Have to wonder if the money a person laid down for a gun actually went towards the gun or to cover other expenses and orders placed well before. It is not that uncommon in small business (or finance for that matter) and people can get in trouble before they know it. Get to the point they can't recover. Whatever is going on, it isn't good.

You would have to go to the DOJ and ask them where they are transferring your guns, and than wait for them to actually send them, and than go run a new DROS. It can take as little as a few weeks but usually takes a few months

I went to p/u my SSE yesterday and was sorely disappointed to see the "closed for inventory" sign. Drove from SFO- When I went in to do the paper work the day before Thanksgiving, there was a sign saying "be back at 3:00 PM" - it was already 3:15. Nobody showed up till 4:30 PM. The guy that helped me was nice enough, but I kinda have a sour taste in my mouth at this point. Really would like to p/u the SSE they're working on for me, sure hope they open up soon. The lack of communication is bit disturbing.

DAMN! no update yet? no one here on this forum knows anybody who works there.

HOW ABOUT SOMEONE GO COPY/PASTE THIS LINK ON THEIR FRONT DOOR. let them know the CALGUNS community is talking about their silence and that people are concerned this could be a ponzi scheme.

this sucks because i really like the customer service and the guys who helped me and my friend complete 2 successful transactions in august. then i was so satisfied that i put money down on a gun they warned me wouldnt be in stock for over a month. now its been over 3 months and my 900 bucks is still there and now i cant even contact them for refund or to start dros on something else!

argh....maybe someone should let the big dogs know? in case some of us need to band together to file a lawsuit to get our money back...

The fact that they've now created an email specifically for refunds does not bode well, but at least folks will (hopefully) be able to get refunds now.

That 80% off was sort of a hoax signs said clothes and accessories. What it should have said was clothes boots and left handed holsters, lol. I had maxpedetion bags and a LBT bag in my hands full of gear headed to the register and then upon finding out it was a limited sale put it all back.
