Default What's the best way to turn a black Glock pink?

I assume it's something along the lines of Duracoat but not terrible. Any advice on product or place that will do it for me?

I would think Duracoat would be your best bet.

I think you just need to take it to the "right" bars and hope it swings that way.

I have no personal experience with DuraCoat, but I've always heard good things about it. Probably like any painting project, the more effort you put into it (especially prep) the better it turns out.

Not the plastic. Or, not conventionally. It requires conductivity.

As far as I know powder coating is used mostly on metal, so a glock is out. I know it can be done on other materials but I am not sure how well a glock would handle the heat required to set the powder coat.

theres paint that you spray on and what ever you sprayed you have to stick in the oven and bake for a little while, but with a glock that might be dangerous to do. it could warp, just stick to duracoat.

The glossy pink paint in that first pic (slide, trigger, and mag floor plate) makes it look like it was done with some Krylon spray paint, and sprayed on too heavily. The all-pink Glock below it looks a lot better with it's less glossy look and the frame texture showing more.

The best way to turn your Glock pink is use it to kill an unicorn. Not only your Glock will turn pink, you also will get 1 wish. I recommend you wish that you have never done such a thing. Not only because unicorns are cute, but a pink Glock just looks silly.

Yes, I think this method is described somewhere in the Cal-guns wiki.

Duracoat. A couple coats of white first make it a pepto bismol shade. Sticks well to wood, plastic and steel (as long as cleaned per instructions.)

This was a flat head screwdriver mark. Tool point bounced off stock and stuck into finger. Hard to see the scratch in normal light. Tough paint if you ask me.

M1 Carbine and a Garand are next.

With most painting jobs, its how well you prep the surface and how you cure the media that effects the quality of the paint job.

Being a girl and a Glock lover, I think pink is a fabulous color! My AR is being done in pink camo and I love how Glocks look in pink. If mine weren't OD I'd consider getting it two tone pink/black but I hate the thought of painting over it, for now... I probably will eventually.

Contact Frank aka Dreadnought78 to get it duracoated. He did a Glock for me (stainless to combat black) and did a phenomenal job

Another vote here for Duracoat.

I did my glock frame with duracoat. I used an airbrush and small compressor, and baked the frame in the oven at 150 degrees for like 15 minutes. I waited 3 days for re-assembly, and 4 weeks to shoot it. It turned out awesome, and has held up really well.

Duracoat is the way to go I think. Technique (Justin) does very good duracoat work.

He had a really cool pink Glock 19 for sale a couple of years ago. I handled it at BAGV when it was on display and was very impressed with it.

And for those who make fun, pink guns are cool. I have a pink AR-15 (done using Krylon with a white under coat, and pink top layer) and pink grips on my S&W J frames. Its just a color, get over it.
