Default New 80% lower owner with a question.

I recently bought an 80% lower from a gun show and now I have doubts about buying it because the magwell is what needs to be completed and the more research I do the more I find out that the magwell is the hardest part to do. Does anyone have any suggestions on where I can go or who I can talk to to get this lower completed? Thanks!

Welcome to CalGuns.

I think you should have done some research first...There are ATF specs on what an %80 lower means. Cant remember where to find the info but basically you need to mill the trigger housing and drill the trigger pin holes and the selector switch hole.

Most of the kits out there will have the presets for the above.

I think you are hosed with the mag well milling.

Welcome Aboard!

There's plenty of members on here who've built off of an 80% lower. A little research here in the forum will set you in the right direction. That's the route I was considering but my impatience got the best of me

is all that left the magwell ? if so i dont think you bought a "80%" if you can put a upper on it and have a single shot weapon its not a "80%" ... anywho doing the magwell is not just a milling job , most use a broach ... not saying a magwell cant be milled but plan on a bit of filing to square off the corners

and BTW welcome to CalGuns ...
