I just picked up a 1990 Sig P220 that looks virtually brand new. Here are some photos of it and all my sigs
and for fun, I took this too:

Sig P226R 9mm
Cerakote by Ernie at Red Creek Tactical http://www.redcreektactical.com/ Color: Armor black on slide and controls FDE on frame Desert Sage on the grips. *I have some Hogue G10s in tan\chain link on order but I love the look of those Sig grips that I may have a hard time deciding which to go with I'm really happy with the way it came out... |

I love the stainless ones with wood grips! Best looking Sig IMHO... I really hate most guns in stainless too!

Yep. : )
Prepped the polymer and used a few very light coats of Krylon Fusion Camouflage "khaki" spray paint. Held up so far. Sent from my LG-P999 using Tapatalk Last edited by AR15_In_My_Blood; 04-13-2012 at 1:17 PM.. |

Sig purists will probably hate me.
but i make no apologies! i love my P229. but a shoot a P226 better, just feels great in my hands. so instead of spending another 6-900 bucks on a new or used P226, i just put P226 grips on my P229. Poor man's P226. Mags are 226 ones (of course) Had to drill that hole there with the dremel. Doesn't really matter (to me), and cant see it when its in my hand. But still shoots great, feels good and i put a good 200+ round thru it every weekend. Have probably already done 3,000 rounds thru it over the past 2 years. Bought it used on the forum some time ago. Never a single hiccup. Its superb! the grips were originally OD Green. Not feeling it. So i had some FDE duracoat laying around so i sprayed them earlier this morning. Easy peasy. And i can always make them black again. Duracoat is super easy to use and apply. Grips cost 15 dollars. Still have my P229 grips and a bunch of mags if i feel like changing it back. For now, I'm happy. Needs a good cleaning. New sights soon. Still pondering on what to change it to. I'm over the night sights. |

By no means a statement about the quality, but the guns with "Sig Sauer Custom Shop" are not built in the custom shop.
