Default Gunsmith in SD?

I picked up a pretty beat up Ruger 10/22

The magazine doesn't stay in, and the bolt sticks. haven't attempted to fire it.

It needs a good once over on it.

Any recommendations on who to take it to? Im in Oceanside area

Thanks

I'm in San Marcos, and I'd be happy to teach you how to do it yourself. It's actually quite easy. PM me if interested.

Other options close to there, Ray at Iron Sights (usually he's there Monday nights after 5pm) or Duncan's.

Again, free education offered here. I understand if gun smithing just isn't your thing, but for me it's a huge part of why I'm into guns.

Thanks Aragon for trying to help our community, I like taking my guns apart when I get them too! I would give Aragon a shot Blackreef, the 10/22 is pretty simple, much easier then some pistols. The web and youtube can teach you almost anything as well. Just watch the video first before attempting to take it apart haha

Not as familiar with the Model 70, but I'll be happy to take a look anyway. At least we can have a few beers over it.

Hi y'all,

My dad is looking for a San Diego area gunsmith to re-install the saddle ring on his Winchester Model 1894 which was manufactured in 1917. Because he loves his Winchester, we need to find someone trustworthy who is experienced with 100-year old rifles and won't jack it up.

He'd also like to have a gunsmith to give a once-over on a 1970's/80's Derringer .22 magnum.

Thanks for any recommendations you can provide!

BK
