Default Earthquake survival bed

Here is a bed that protects you from huge earthquakes!

Idea is, if a big earthquake occurs and your house collapses while you're in bed sleeping, the bed will detect it and close the steel lid. Basically cocooning you in a steel box.

Cocoon or tomb?
Now if there's a bed with a roll cage and grab handles then maybe... but that wouldn't be for earth quakes per se.

Sent using a long string and 2 Dixie cups

I want one, in a kind size, AR500/Kevlar lined, with passage to my underground bunker.

That'd be the only way you'd get me in that coffin!

That's great until it shuts itself while you have some of your extremities not fully in the bed. I mean I guess surviving an earthquake with one less arm is better than dying in the earthquake... :-P

Yeah actually after thinking about it, a simple four-post bed with a sturdy roof might be a better idea. All steel construction of course.

What happens when you and your partner get a little frisky. Sounds like a mood killer to me.
