Thumbs up 1969 Dan Wesson Pistol Pack 4-Barrels *FIRST YEAR PRODUCTION* 357 Magnum 38 Special E

This is one of the coolest and most unique setups out there, not many people are hip to it so thought I would share!

The only thing better would be if the barrels were all vent/heavy.

A Dan Wesson 15-2VH was my first handgun purchase.

Mine, too. I paid $218 out the door at the Scott AFB Rod and Gun club for a 15-2VH, 8", dirty Harry wannabe.

I've since added a new 6" VH barrel, which I think balances better.

I like the looks of the 1980s version, without the pork chop part and without the external barrel nut.

I love VH too, and the EWK VH w/ rail! I got another DW set with all VH - that is the one I actually shoot =)

These early models (first 6 years) didn't have VH yet. I think those came out in 1975 with the 14-2 and 15-2

Is that when they went to the tab lock? Anyway, there's a regular profile vent rib as well, which is what my 15-2 has.

Mine was a 744 VH pistol pack - still have it. Also bought a 15-2VH pistol pack a few years ago or so.

Awesome revolvers!

I'll do a video soon on my other DW setup, I am awaiting parts from EWK to showcase =) it is an insanely accurate shooter. And after a tuning it feels like a sweet shooter

Mine is in a mismatched case (a .44 case), no buckle, no patch, just the one set of DW grips plus a Pachy. And it's been shot a LOT. Still snatched it up, but it's a shooter. I replaced all the barrels though. They were like $28 or something. It's the shrouds that cost $$$$.

I had a 1970's made Pistol Pac but the DW frame habit of going plum bugged me enough to sell it off. Found this one a few years later -

Attachment 1169155

Still. I like the 8" non-lugged barrel best as an all around shooter.

Not to go off track, but the DW isn't on roster because?

Dunno. CZ quit making them, and now they own Colt. I think DW is upscale to Colt myself, but the pony sells guns. they should at least offer them in the custom shop.

LOL yeah, it's the high content of nickel in the alloy.
I actually think it looks cool

My other DW set is even more epic than this one, I'll share it later

I'm already jealous. I actually turned down a 715 pack 4 or 5 years ago. It was too rich for my blood. Regret thinking that now, but I have more .357 revolvers than anything else already. What I'm after is a .41 or .357 Maximum.

I've got the next gen (recessed lock nut) pork chop barrel model, made in 1975 by DW for High Standard. I have a 4" and 6" barrel for it..

I bought a 4? stainless barrel/shroud a few years back when I had the opportunity, as I figured I?d find a 715 at some point to add to the collection.

I?ve gone hunting a couple of times in the intervening years, but didn?t find a reasonable deal when I was still in Cali. Now that I?m out of state, I may increase my efforts as there are more sources available.
