Cool Revised Flowchart

I've been a long time lurking member (years) and finally decided to register. I had noticed that due to SB-880 the flowchart was outdated. I made several revisions to it in an attempt to bring it back up to speed. This is by no means me taking credit for the original work of art or claiming to be an expert on law. I hope this effort is welcomed...
This is a work in progress... 2nd draft.

Interesting, thanks for this... I'll look it over and see if anything seems inaccurate to me.

I think we were waiting for the new AW regulations to come out before we published an updated flowchart, as there are still so many unknown answers.

Some notes:

In the top left, you need to clarify "which" ban. There have been several, and rifles registered under this current ban are potentially treated differently than rifles registered under previous bans.

Also, where it says "does the rifle have a detachable magazine?" should say "does the rifle have a non-fixed magazine?". Detachable is no longer a word used in the PC.

Rifles with devices that HAVE a non-fixed magazine, but include a magazine lock such as a BB, are legal to own if registered under the current ban, so the flowchart needs something that indicates that.

Agreed! Thanks cockedandglocked.
Also had a realization that no high capacity magazines are allowed, regardless of configuration as high-cap mags themselves are now illegal... correct me if I'm wrong?
I'll go over the chart again during some downtime at work tomorrow.

You're not wrong, but keep in mind that it's only an AW violation (felony) if the large-cap magazine is in a fixed-magazine rifle. Otherwise, in a feaureless or RAW rifle, it's a simple large-cap magazine violation (infraction/misdemeanor wobbler). Still illegal, but there's a not-negligible difference between a $100 citation and 4-8 years in prison.

Check out the PDF's I've attached to the original post... they've been revised with your recommendations.

Aside from the aforementioned typos, it all looks correct to me as far as I can tell, great work

Just be aware that it might soon change a little bit, pending the yet-to-be-determined AW registration regulations. For example, in the now-withdrawn regulations, AW's registered in 2017 supposedly required a "non-detachable" magazine, in other words the DOJ was saying the bullet buttons had to stay on, meanwhile <2016 RAWs wouldn't have required non-detachable magazines.

No point in changing your flowchart yet though, because we don't know what (if anything) will apply differently to 2017 RAWs versus <2016 RAWs.
