Default Basic handgun course, but schedule woes

I live in the Oakland area and am looking, ideally, for a handgun safety course nearby. Looked at Fisher Protection and a couple of others.

The main problem is timing. I can take off during weekdays to do it, but evenings and weekends are pretty much out for me due to family and work considerations.

So anyone have any suggestions. I kind of want a really intro level course as I haven't touched a firearm in about 20 years.

Your best bet might be finding a reputable instructor who offers private instruction with a flexible schedule. It may be slightly more expensive that way, but one-on-one is never a bad thing. I recommend staying away from people whose only credentials are NRA certificates.

If you can't do weekdays, evenings, or weekends when exactly are you free to take a course? Identifying your availability could help because based on your description you have none...

I recommend Team 3 Tactical, but most the remaining classes for the year are held at the Richmond range on Fridays.

So no luck with Team 3 Tactical.

Anyone know a guy named Russ at the Mobile Marksman?

I have taken lessons with Russ. He's a good teacher. I took an intro AR class and a hand loading course with him. Both were good.
