Default Florida Gun Laws - Good? Bad? Changing?

May have to move to Florida due to my fiancé’s job situation. Already out of Commiefornia in a very gun friendly state, and have seen and read some not-so-great things about the changing state of gun laws in Florida, for the worse. What’s it like now? Getting worse? Is it going the way of Commiefornia? Saw that Bloomberg is pumping money into the state and buying off politicians to advance his gun grab agenda. Purchase process at a store and private party? CCW process? Gun shows? Shooting areas/ranges? Anything else that you like or hate? TIA

Gun laws aside, I love Florida. It's a very nice and temperate state. Granted I've only been to the Orlando area, but I wouldn't mind retiring there. It would be sweet to live close to Disney world, for the kids, the Kennedy space center, Cape Canaveral, and their beaches are very nice, much nicer than you'll find on the left coast.

Regarding gun laws, I don't think anything is gaining traction there as far as infringement. Just more posturing from the dimtards. I wouldn't sweat it if you end up making the move.

Where you going in Florida?

I grew up there and love the smaller towns and coastal areas. Fishing in the ocean is pretty good depending where you are at. A lot of the lakes and rivers are good too.

CCW is easy to get when I got mine it only took a few weeks. If you are ex military you wont need to take a class they will also accept many other forms of firearms training.

Private party sales I think are still OK without back ground checks but I did read somewhere they may be changing that.

Shooting areas/ranges? A lot of areas people shot at in the past are quickly going away. I have friends with larger areas of land that I shoot at. There are several indoor and outdoor ranges depending where you are at too.

I’ve read that after the parkland shooting, the grabbers went nuts and they now have very active red flag laws, and some politicians - even republicans - have been bought by Soros and Bloomberg. The tide seems to be turning against us everywhere. Idaho, New Mexico, Virginia, Arizona, etc., all seem to be going blue. 😞

Looking at the Sarasota area. Looks nice from an outsiders perspective. What’s the insiders view? I had considered a move to FL years ago, and back then in was one of the top gun friendly states in the country. It’s now fallen to middle of the pack and seems to be getting worse. I’m afraid that it will be Californized.
