Default RRA in final incarnation

http://s213.photobucket.com/albums/c...ent=RRAmid.jpg
RRA midlength.
Elcan Spectre DR
Some cool low profile laser.
Saw grip
Magpul CRT stock
10/20 mag made by ?
Noveske KX3 FH (which eliminates all flash- contrary to the engraving on the side than shows a pig spitting fire- note, this KX3 has its internal baffle removed, so it's just for looks- no flash hiding here!)

What more could you ask for? besides a nice paint job, or a daniel quad forearm, or a PVS-14, or maybe just for it to work like a REAL freaking AR!

Nah, not at all. I usually remove the bipod during tactical matches and use it when bench shooting. Probably added no more than 2-lbs from stock with the CQC scope and shroud.

Fast enough for CQC... The scope has a large eye piece with 30mm tube and illuminated reticle. Because the scope being high like that, when I zero it for 50yrds, it's 4" high at 100yrds and zero again at 200yrds with the 16" barrel.

The scope is by Vector Optics. Affordable but not made cheap ($180). It's beefy, durable, and glass is clear. It's 1-4x24 First Focal Point. Perfect for 3-gun. I actually dropped the scope about 3 feet high when I was first mounting it but no damage and turrets returns to perfect zero even after completely rotating it 360 degrees and back.

Perfect substitute for the $1200 IOR for people on a budget.

Photo from www.coldwarshooters.com. You basically use a bullet tip or small tool to eject the mag. It basically prevents you from ejecting the mag with your fingers.

Did you look back over the 150+ pages of pictures at all? Because there are plenty of Monster Man Grip builds pictured in this thread if you take the time to look for them.

It's a his/hers set. . . my first duracoat attempt, and the attempt was multicam - details and some process pics in "the mother of all refinishing threads" (gunsmithing section) Switched the green layer w/ pink for the wife's.

Didn't quite get the multicam feel down this time, but the next one will be spot on 1st one's always a bit iffy.

Pink rifle - 16" lightweight 1/7 twist CMMG barrel, Clark carbon fiber FF tube cut down to mid-length, EOtech, DNTC comp.

Multicam rifle - 18" CMMG SPR profile barrel 1/8 twist, JP tube, Meopta R1 1-4X illuminated K-dot on Larue SPR-E. Took some guts to duracoat that scope/mount.

Both rifles - CMMG upper receiver, Stag lower, CMT guts (staked by Denny at Global Tactical Supply), Grant's very nice U-15 stocks, 3 lb. triggers on both done on Stag lower parts kit by Bill over at ar15.com, DNTC comp. I'm going to shooting school w/ the wife next week Wanted her to have something that looked special, was lightweight and easy to use.

Ill have to read that thread. Ive seen it, just paid no mind to it - im too scared I would mess up. THere has been alot of rattle can speak lately, and quite frankly im getting interested. I have a scuffed up lower I could toy around with... and I REALLY like the look of you setup. GREAT Job!

Default My 2 Babies...

Two of my ARs are in there.

One is a CMMG Upper & Lower 14.7" w/ Perm. A2 Hider M-4 1:7 Twist Chrome Lined with lots of extras.

The precision upper is my take on a Navy Seal Recon Rifle and has a 16" Stainless Steel 1:8 Twist Upper and is on a Lauer Custom Weaponry lower and also has a lot of extras.

I have a nice 18 inch for sale on my website from CMMG Inc. I custom built the one you see here...if you really want a 16 inch stainless upper I'll get a quote.
